Be sure to visit the Granville Public Market. Amazing fruit, vegetables, baked goods, coffee and much more. Take the little ferry from across False Creek to avoid parking.

Brilliant idea to convert this area under the bridge into a vibrant market. Delicious breads at Terra Breads (especially the Pecan Dried Fruit loaf and the Blueberry White Chocolate bread). Have coffee at the Blue Parrot and watch the boat traffic in False Creek. Taste the sausages, pates and terrines at Oyama and the candied salmon at the Fish Market. Take home some Siegel's bagels especially the Salt and Rosemary ones....all delicious!

Calling all foodies! What a gastronomical treat! We took the water taxi from the main shore (only a 5 minute ride) and determined that this is an excellent way to get to and from the market. We were there on a particularly perfect summer day so I'm sure that added to the experience. We have two teens that went out on their own and we all gathered our own goodies to take on a picnic to Stanley park (another great destination). it is a covered (under a roof) enormous market with every fruit, bread, ethnic choice, meat, sugary treat, etc, known to mankind. If you are craving it, you will find it here. We gathered breads, cheeses, meats, fruits and veggies, deli style italian salads and decadent desserts. Didn't pick up wine this trip but plenty to choose from. There is a brewery on the island as well. Also an amazing flower vendor. If you are a foodie, its so pleasant and fun to just stroll through the aisles and taste (most vendors offer tastes) or even just look. Be sure to come hungry!!!

The market has lots of great stalls, made me wish I was self catering in order that I could buy and use the wonderful produce. Fresh Fish, Meat, wonderful colourful stalls of fruit and vegetables, great bakery stalls, Confectionery and a Good Food hall if you want a quick lunch.

There are boutique shops all around and even a Broomstick Shop ... no Nimbus 2000s tho !

You can take a water taxi across to the edge of Stanley park if you wish.

A good place to spend some time, a lot to see and smell and eat and drink! Plenty of shops to browse, and various seating options inside and out to eat your purchases. Beware of seagulls and their attempts to take your food!!
