Visiting Canada for 5 weeks I decided to book apts. more than hotels so that we had a temporary home rather than a room.
This filled the bill perfectly! We stepped through the door of apt 403 and belonged! This was our home for 11 nights. The apt was very tastefully furnished, clean and so well equipped with everything you needed. Beds were so comfortable and linen and towels of good quality. We got 2 cleans a week and if you needed anything you only had to ask and it was done.
The staff in reception were courteous, efficient and very friendly.
We could contact them at anytime, but they were never intrusive.
It was hard to believe that 42 apts were occupied in the building because we hardly ever saw anyone else, and there was NO noise in the building at all.
The surrounding neighbourhood is safe and easy to get around. We walked most places, and took taxis which were cheap. Stanley Park is a beautiful area to spend leisure time.
There is a supermarket called Food for Less just down Denman Street behind Shoppers Mart Pharmacy - I never saw food so cheap anywhere in Canada and the quality was excellent. We didn´t self cater but for those who wish to I would advise them to stock up here. We bought lots of fruit, milk, juice and basics.
There is a small shop near the entrance in Robson St, but it´s almost double the price for everything.
The X Spot cafe on the corner of Denman/Robson make very good sandwiches. Bo Jangles is good too. The Wild Garlic Bistro near the junction is excellent. and such friendly and efficient staff. If you want to go book as it´s only a small place that gets full regularly..................you won´t be disappointed!
We intend going to back in 2009 and will stay at Times Square suites. Highly recommended!

We stayed 6 nights in a studio+den located at the rear of the premises and we were never bothered by any noise. The apartment was immaculate as were the corridors and entrance. The kitchen was well equipped in every way. The outside temperature while we were there was around 70, so the temperature inside the apartment was fine, but I will say if higher temperature, I could see that it might get overheated as air con was not very powerfull and was too noisy to run at night. The location is excellent a few minutes from Stanley park about ten minutes walk over to English Bay and restaurants of every kind close by, as are two supermarkets. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. On the occasions I had enquiries all of the staff I spoke to (three different members of staff) at reception, were extremely helpful and nothing was too much bother. All in all we had an excellent stay in this apartment suite.

I'll be honest my very first impressions were not great. We arrived early evening, buzzed the intercom to get downstairs - went through the front entrance where there are cheap printed signs warned of letting strangers in, went down to the office which felt like a mini-cab office attached to the carpark. Had to pay in full up-front (not very classy) - and then got to the room.

The room (a one bed suite) was clean, though the decor was a bit 1980s. It was certainly big enough and they had acted on our request for a crib and high chair - we were travelling with our one year old. With sirens wailing outside I went to bed feeling not too good about the place.

The next day we woke up the sun was out, I wandered down to the bojangles cafe on the ground floor, got breakfast and suddenly the place began to warm on me. The neighbourhood feels very safe. You are right on Denman and Robson. If you want to shop you can wander down Robson, if you want to eat then the whole world is your choice a block either way on Denman. Given we have a small child it was nice to be able to get very good foot 'to go' and have it back in our own apartment within moments of it leaving the kitchen.

The place is also only a couple of blocks from Stanley Park. There is no better way to start a trip to Vancouver than walk the loop around this.

By the end of my stay I had 'tuned in' to the Times Square suites - at the end of the day it is a serviced apartment rather than a hotel, and perhaps my first impressions were me judging more by hotel experiences.

The only other thing to be aware is that good as it was I thought the price was at a point were it felt pricey rather than value. That will be an individual thing I guess depending on the price you get and what your benchmark is.

For travelling with a one year old, and for it's location, it was a great base.

We stayed at the Times Square Suites on Robson Street in Vancouver for four nights in August. We had originally booked a two bedroom suite but, as our travel companions were arriving a day ahead of us, we were given two one bedroom apartments with an adjoining door. The apartments were roomy, nicely decorated and very comfortable...... nice bathroom and washing machine/dryer in a hidden closet in the living area. The kitchen was well appointed although we didn't feel the need to cook with so many eateries close by. The small balcony we had overlooked Robson Street and our only complaint was that there was a wedding in the restaurant below one evening that seemed to spill out into the street ....... the noise made it a bit diffiuclt to sleep. The Times Square is close to the corner of Robson and Denman so it's within walking distance of lots of great places to eat (Denman Street) and shopping along Robson Street. It's proximity to Stanley Park was also a plus ... lots to explore right on your doorstep. The Times Square staff were friendly and attentive ....... always helpful (we left our bags in storage with them for four days and they didn't charge us !) We highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Vancouver and we will certainly stay there on our next visit.

I booked Times Square Suites because of its rave reviews even though it cost more than I really wanted to spend and it was worth the extra. Accommodation is great with everything you could need including dishwasher, personal rather than communal washer and dryer and an extremely well equipped kitchen. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the location was perfect. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby and its right on the edge of Stanley Park which is a lovely place where we spent a lot of time - particularly good for an early morning stroll with jet lag! The organic supermarket a couple of blocks away sells lovely chlled pre-prepared food which is perfect if you fancy an evening in. This was a great start to our Canada holiday and probably the nicest place we stayed.

The front desk staff here were very friendly and helpful with both the accomodation and local Vancouver info. The location was excellent with a couple of coffee shops close by for breakfast and a plethora of excellent restaurants for dinner.

The accomodation was excellent, immaculately clean and someone has obviously spent a great deal of time thinking of all the little things that make your stay a little easier like dishwasher tablets a washer dryer and best of all a really comfortable sofa.

Whilst there was no air-con in the living are we found that opening the windows created a good through draft and the air-con in the bedroom was very welcome.

The roof terrace on the 4th floor was a great place for breakfast and relaxing with coffee and the gas BBQ with all the supplies was a bonus.

Having stayed in numerous similar style properties all over Canada and the US I have to say this is one of the best we've experienced.

After a 12 days visit from Kelowna and Rockies, we like to try some towndown hotel but homefeel style suite is most preferable. The times square suites just fit our need!

We stayed in a 2 bedrooms suite, it was super tidy, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped. The most I loved is the in-room washing faciilities....as we've piles of clothes to wash. The location is so convenience. Choice of world's cusine just downstairs. 5 minutes drive to Stanley Park......

However, there's one issue quite disappointed me:(
I requested the staff to give us a quiet suite since my early booking in Apr, 08 and once again made my request for a quiet suite two weeks ahead of our arrival. I was so concern as I learnt from reviews that to avoid suites near the junction of Devon and Robson St. However, they reply that our suite is 'okay' for us and have no complaint so far. But, the 3 nights we're suffering from the noise by the busy traffic till late mid-night and came again early at 7am. The most annoying thing was the noise from the fire-engines and ambulances which came not a few! Moreover, there're no air-conditioning in the small bedroom and the living room. We need to open windows , so the noise ...you can imagine.

Overall, we recommend the times square suites to you, but beware of the noise!
