Description: Chef Whittaker’s vision features dishes that are unpretentious and innovatively prepared using products sourced from local and organic farmers, fishers and producers whenever possible. These combine for a menu featuring snacks such as “crackling & popcorn”; a variety of creative “boards” and “irons” to share; tasty “plates” to nosh on together or enjoy solo as a main; and desserts for a sweet (and a bit savoury) finish.

“Awesome Easter Brunch”
Reviewed 24 April 2014 via mobile

My husband, sister and brother-in-law were visiting Vancouver and fortunate enough to get reservations for an Easter brunch. The food was amazing, along with the service. I had poached eggs over a lentil and sausage dish-awesome. My brother-in-law had a pork sandwich-the best pork sandwich he had had in his life. Forage is a smug for anyone visiting Vancouver who enjoys great food!

“An excellent concept for a restaurant, well delivered”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

We had dinner here recently and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent and the ambiance nice. The food was innovative, interesting, well prepared and very tasty. We all liked the local aspect including most of the drinks.

“Innovative, Local, and simply great!”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

stinging nettle gnocchi...line caught halibut,...pepper braised bison cheek...farro risotto...yes innovative, all local and simply outstanding.
The dishes are small, and very share-able, in fact they suggest sharing and it is fun to taste so many different flavours...some of the dishes are much better shared, they are rich and as such small tastes are much better
save something for dessert...huckleberry hazelnut financier, meyer lemon custard...
but alas, the menu changes weekly, so some of these items may not be on the menu, which does mean coming back again, and again is such a treat.
The wine list is largely BC wines, and a very good selection, as well as some California and French wines.
This is based on two visits over two days and yes we will come back

also had breakfast...the usual are on offer except the egg and pork cutlet breakfast sandwich...is moreish...

“Very interesting place”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

Great place. Really interesting food. They really try interesting ingredients and very local and in season. The portion sizes are small - but that was OK with me.
