I did an on-the-spot check of Vancouver Coastal Health Food Inspections and there were no red flags. My daughters I enjoyed the wild salmon (I was suspicious until it arrived - deep sockeye red), udon, & maki rolls. I like the fact that the included tempura with the udon was served separately with tentsuyu and not left to get mushy in the udon. Additionally, the udon and the salmon were not too salty - a good chef knows the customer can always add salt, or soy sauce. They could improve the ambiance by creating a "specials" chalkboard or flatscreen TV instead of having paper taped haphazardly to the wall, but other than that this small restaurant does all that's required of it - good food at a reasonable price while adhering to food-safe standards.
