I arranged for this rental prior to our Alaska cruise which left from Vancouver. It had the right bed and bath configuration for us and seemed to be in a location which we wanted. The owner uses a Key Café system to get a "fob" to the building and a key to the apartment, which I had not used before but it was not a problem and allowed us to check into the unit after our late evening flight. The apartment is beautifully furnished and has just recently been totally "re-done". The security man in the lobby helped us up to the unit and explained some of the "quiet" rules, and how to use the key in the lock.
The apartment was very comfortable; the beds were great - one was a king and one was a queen, both with great bathrooms, although the tub side was a bit high for me. I preferred to use the wonderful walk in shower in the other bathroom. The linens and towels were wonderful, and there is a brand new washer and dryer that we used a few times. The condo is on the 17th floor so there are some city views and even a peek of the water beyond. It is located very ideally to restaurants, stores, shopping, & sightseeing.
The owner, John M., is absolutely wonderful to deal with. He is absolutely committed to making sure that your stay in Vancouver is comfortable and rewarding. Prior to checking in, we corresponded several times about questions I had, and once I checked in, he has multiple hand out type sheets on the counter, that deal with all different topics, from "sights to see" to "places to eat", to the building amenities, to how to operate the TV, stove, etc. ....he covers everything, including a great map of the area, with markings as to where you are, where other things are, etc. He was very accessible and more than willing to deal with any issues/problems that we might have had, ....which we had NONE. Thank you John. He also refunded our damage/security deposit promptly.
This unit worked out very well for us. We weren't in Vancouver long, but were able to do some sight seeing, and get ready for our trip. We thought the Urban Fare store/restaurant was great, and I was happy to chance upon a great Bible church down the street, Coastal Church, as I was making my way down to the Art Museum the last day I was in town.
It seems to rain quite a bit in Vancouver, so make sure you pack your rainjacket, which we already had since we were going to Alaska, and bring an umbrella! By the time you read this review, John may have already left some umbrellas in the unit for your use!

My wife and I were the first to stay in this condo after a complete designer remodel. All of the kitchen appliances and furnishings are new and very attractive. The view is southwest through the glass-walled living/dining area. One can see a bit of English Bay. The condo is in a very attractive secure building with a spacious underground garage with free parking. The owner is very helpful and solicitous in attending to any requests.
The location is superb. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the convention center and about 20 min to Stanley Park. Urban Fare grocery store and BC Liquor Store are a block away. Robson Street is one block away. Several good to excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance.
We found the condo very comfortable and convenient and would stay again without hesitation. However, we rated it 4 instead of 5 stars because the second bedroom is too small for the queen size bed, and it is a challenge to access one side of it. It would not be a problem for our more agile children, but any guest should be aware of that.
