Vancouver really is a world class city. During our stay, we would simply walk around the city and experience everything there is to offer. The city is also extremely bicycle friendly, and I highly recommend riding through/around Stanley Park where there is also beach access. Gastown is also a great spot to walk around as there are numerous bar and restaurant options. We went in August, and therefore it wasn't too hot. Would also recommend going to Granville Island, as it is a cool little spot to find art and small souvenirs.

“Walk and see as much as you can”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014

We enjoyed walking downtown and soaking in all the city has to offer. For example, although we did not visit the Vancouver Art Museum, it was delightful to see the Thursday evening impromptu (or is this well planned?) outdoor chess games that go on in the outside garden area of the museum.

Tip: Avoid paying for hotel bottled water and grab a couple of bottled waters at London Drug. It's also a good find for snack foods.

“Convenient”

I love downtown Vancouver as it's so easy to get around and is always bustling with people from all around the world and it's very easy to walk from one beach on one side of town to the other. Fantastic cuisine through out downtown as well, from great food carts to five star restaurants.

“Vancouver - City of Culture”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

Both my wife and myself explored several areas of the city and at no time were we hassled and never felt more safe. The parks were brilliant, busses easy to use, people put themselves out when we got lost. Works control personnel were very quick to point us down alternative roads due to road repairs. Wished I had my camera ready as down Roberts street were aoorox 300 skateborders rolling down accompanied by police. Something to do with the teachers strike out there. According to my wife lots of shops to peruse, me i went to the Hall of fame in the big football arena. Spent a lot less then the wife
