Probably the best B&B experience my wife and I have enjoyed over the years. The house, lovingly restored by Wayne and Sal is filled with little touches designed with the comfort and delight of their guests in mind. Take time to really look at the fabulous stained glass installed throughout the house and be sure to check out part of their corkscrew collection in the main floor WC. The amazing Karen, our host was so friendly and helpful ... and those delicious hot breakfasts she conjured up started the day perfectly. There is a question on their in-house questionnaire that asks if you can think of anything to improve the stay of guests and my answer to it was "Not one single thing."

My husband and I visited Vancouver for business and pleasure. I appreciated being close enough to be able to walk around the town exploring the unique shops and restaurants while my husband had his meetings. The Inn was a wonderful retreat after walking the afternoon away.
Karen was very personable and did an awesome job with the breaksfast...the best I've had at a B&B.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience and will look forward to returning.

I stayed for a week while visiting for Vancouver for meetings at UBC during January. The Corkscrew Inn is a local gem, and I would certainly stay again. The Inn is quiet and comfortable, and relaxing during the evenings. It is also beautiful and appointed with all sorts of nice touches through out the Inn that make it an interesting place to stay. The location was ideally situated (for my purposes) between the university and downtown Vancouver, and it was only blocks from the water. It was easy to get to by cab from the airport, and very nearby several bus lines. Breakfast was absolutely delicious (the marmalade stuffed french toast was amazing) and the Innkeeper Karen was both helpful and delightful to talk to. I would highly recommend the Corkscrew Inn and certainly plan to stay again the next time I'm in Vancouver.

Room Tip: I enjoyed my stay in the British India room. It was comfortable and relaxing, and located in the re...

Just enjoyed a 2nd visit at the Corkscrew. The Manager, Karen, does a fabulous job at every juncture: providing a warm welcome, spotless well-appointed rooms, a delicious full hot breakfast, etc. The location is perfect for visits to the downtown area, out to UBC, around Kitsilano and for walks along the water or on the beach. The house was remodeled beautifully and sits in a quiet residential area very much like where we live in Berkeley and we felt very much at home. ~Swans

A beautifully crafted home in a wonderful neighborhood with a lovely host - you cannot go wrong staying at The Corkscrew. My own stay was in the Edwardian room and it was beyond peaceful. I was able to comfortably do work on the desk while sipping tea offered in the main room (and there are cookies!)as well as take a shower with THE best water pressure! Karen provided me with not one but two delicious breakfasts and she was very warm and friendly. I also cannot express enough how great the neighborhood is; close to so many conveniences from restaurants to coffee shops and even a Whole Foods. Then there is the proximity to the water. I'll be coming back for sure.

Room Tip: I liked being on the ground floor (Edwardian) as it was a spacious room (with desk) with easy access...

We loved being in a neighborhood, on a residential street, within walking distance of public transportation and also within walking distance to the parks along the water. The Inn is lovely, an artistic success really, with fine craftsmanship and well chosen colors throughout. Our room was comfortable and well appointed, with the added pleasure of a little outdoor balcony. The manager was so very helpful and pleasant. The owner clearly enjoys his role and his creation. We would definitely stay at The Corkscrew Inn again.

The house is beautiful, a feast for the eyes. The location is amazing, the house is on a beautiful street, so close to the ocean and equally close to great shops and restaurants. Karen, the host, is super- friendly and helpful. She gave us lots of great tips.
We had the Art Deco room, beautifully decorated and very cozy. We viewed the other rooms in the house; they are all beautiful. The beds are comfortable, the bathtub was great.
I have every intention of returning to the Corkscrew Inn!
