This is a great risk reward course. Lots of dog legs. Narrow fairways. The staff takes pride in keeping this course in great condition for a public course.

“Uncomplicated Vancouver Park course”
Reviewed 23 April 2012

Nice location, cheap green fees, challenging holes with variety, lots of wildlife ( coyotte, bald eagles, event a seal in the Fraser arm ). Can be wet after rainy period but remains one of my preferred place around

“Watch out for the beaver...”
Reviewed 7 September 2011

City course just off W. Marine Drive.

Popular facility with a good practice range. However, on more than 1 occasion I have had to wait as all the stalls were full.

Like all the city courses, McCleery is in very good condition. It has some small hills & small ponds. Along a fairway on the back 9 we walked upon a portly shiny beaver enjoying a meal of lush grass.

The course was busy but our 4 some still finished in 4.5 hours. They do move you along. Some of the greens are very large. Some of the holes require driving over a pond. Others require flying the approach over a small pond. #18 while short for a par 4, requires clearing a group of 6-9 bunkers fronting the green.

While the course runs along the Fraser River, I don't remember ever catching a glimpse of the water.

I enjoyed the course & will return.
