This is one place not to be missed. Again, the food, service, were outstanding. Had the most perfectly cooked rack of lamb in my life. Heirloom tomato salad garnished with a scotch egg was magically seasoned with fresh herbs. A combo pureed pea and carrot soup was lucious. The seared Arctic Char on root vegetables was stunning to look at and delicious. Chef was kind enough to produce two beautiful sugar free desserts. Excellent wine list with many from the Okanogan Valley. Highly recommend!

Located at the entrance to Granville Island, this is the restaurant associated with PICA culinary school. The Bistro offer a 3-course fixed-price lunch & dinner Monday through Friday at a very reasonable price. Wine is available. Friday is a buffet. The attached Bistro Cafe is more casual, offers soups, salads & sandwiches, and pastries. Bakery items are half-off starting at 4 PM. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you are on your way to Granville Island.

Hello, thank you so much for leaving this feedback. We very much appreciate it. Please do give us as much notice if you ever wish to book for larger groups; as an educational institute we always focus on the quality of service we deliver as opposed to the quantity of people we serve, which is why it can be difficult to get larger groups in at times. We do hope you return in the future!

I could rave all day about our lunch today at Bistro 101! This is the best restaurant meal we have had on over two years in BC, by a very long way.
The room is lovely- calm, relaxing and having a nice view of the marina.
The food was impeccable. Seafood succulent, soup velvety, lamb just pink and tender, desserts surprising, beautiful and delicious.
The horrendous over seasoning (presumably catering to the Canadian palate) that has ruined almost every meal we have had in BC was joyously absent here. Seasoning was delicately done and allowed the food to shine.
Everything was delivered hot and timed well, with attentive, but not intrusive, service.
One recent reviewer reckons
this is not in Vancouver's
top 50. Ignore that completely! We have eaten at Michelin starred restaurants in the UK on multiple occasions, so we know good cooking when we taste it, and nothing in Vancouver has impressed us in the slightest, until
today at Bistro 101.
If these young chefs graduate to their own establishments in a couple of years, then the future is bright for diners in this city.
Congratulations on a fine job to everyone involved.
