We had a great time at the S.Is.Film fundraiser! The costumes were great, our meals were extremely impressive and exciting as half a dozen waiters approached each table and soon all 100 meals were placed! No easy feat. The plates looked exquisite! The 'Chocolate Bar' desert was memorable....forever!
Our room had a spectacular ocean view and was very nicely decorated with lots of beautiful mahogany everywhere like an old hotel from the past. We were greeted by two young Eagles as soon as we stepped out on our deck, they seemed about 20' above our heads and interested in us! It was very exciting.
The mineral pool is a wee bit of heavenly bliss....such comfort and thrill all around you. The mist over the pool kept reminding me of this image I saw of Snow Monkeys soaking in the natural pools in Japan. I'll be back...

Room Tip: go for the ocean view....

WE attended the 2014 Victoria Film Commission Oscar Gala and decided to stay over at the hotel that night so that we could get the total "how the other half lives" experience. The Gala was so much fun and the hotel was superb! We don't think that we've ever had a nicer hotel experience - THANKS!

Room Tip: We went with the lower priced city view but it was still a very nice view of the surrounding area. W...

This hotel has it all figured out. Beautifully appointed rooms and venues are welcoming but not over done. There are several mineral pools with lots of room. Slippers and robes are provided for a comfortable outdoor walk to and from. The staff have been carefully chosen...all seem to be bright and happy to be working here. The food was very good. We shared a pizza for an appy in the snug and were surprised at how large and very yummy it was. Dinner theatre with the Time Benders was a blast and cookies and hot cocoa was a nice touch at the end of the evening. The pools are open 24/7 which is very unusual. Definitely worth recommending.

Excellent location with wonderful ocean front views in a brand new luxurious hotel. Great views, excellent food, first rate service with friendly staff.

We took advantage of a nightly rate and spa package which included a $40 gift card. We got an ocean front room which was amazing, super comfy beds, fireplace, deep soaker tub and kitchen amenities ie fridge and microwave! Spa sandals and robes were provided to take advantage of a world class spa - massage therapists, steam room , mineral pool, and hot tubs ,overlooking the ocean. The super friendly staff made our hotel stay very memorable. The hotel description was bang on! And their pub " the Snug" was very cozy with great food I'll be back

Room Tip: Choose ocean front Queen beds with fireplace

Had some girlfriends join me on a respite night at the hotel. Parking was very easy underground, and complimentary!
We decided to eat at the Snug pub. I had the meatloaf, which was excellent and more of a fine dining version than typical pub fare. My friends had the pizza, which was massive, and the pasta with salmon and prawns. Both enjoyed them. For dessert we requested that it be sent up to my room. All three choices were delicious. Strudel, croissant pudding and quinoa chocolate cake. My fave was the chocolate cake.
I was in a room that overlooked the street at the front of the hotel. Surprisingly, it was very quiet. Probably the best hotel stay sleep wise, that I've ever had. Pillows and mattress were very comfy. Only downside was that I could not get the free wifi from that room. I had no problems every where else.
The next day my mom met me for afternoon tea in the dining room. Lovely food and view! Only suggestion would be to leave the crumpet condiments on the table for the scones that arrive with the tower portion of the tea service. Also, provide spoons for the strawberries. We didn't need the knives and forks on the table.
Overall, it is a wonderful hotel. The staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. My friends and I are already planning to return in the summer to take advantage of the pool and hot tubs.

My wife and I spent 3 wonderful days at this hotel as a mid-winter break from the weather on the prairies of Canada. We had stayed at the old hotel on this site about 10 years ago and found they have kept the same atmosphere but brought a very modern look. This is a less than a year old hotel situated on the ocean in Victoria.
The room was very nice with a galley kitchen and an ocean view. The bathroom was very spaces and had a heated floor so the tiles didn't give you a cold shock in the morning. The design was such that you could sit in the soaker tub and open some panels and look across the room out to the ocean while in the tub.
The hotel facilities with 3 pools by the ocean and a English pub were 110% of what I expected. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is staying in Victoria.

Room Tip: Rooms that face north and east have ocean views. We had a tour of some rooms. Some rooms had one k...
