“This place is WONDERFUL”
Reviewed 29 May 2013

The resort is excellent. I tried to find something I didn't like. All I could come up with is they don't provide shampoo. And the rooms are not oversized. Not undersized either, just very efficient use of space. Otherwise great room, balcony, view, facilities.

The surroundings however are just wonderful. Right on the water, and what a marvel Victoria is particularly beautiful from and around the waterfront. The resort is a short walk from Fisherman's wharf, from downtown, and a little longer walk from Chinatown. We love this place and are definitely planning our return trip next year. A seaplane lands and takes off seemingly every few minutes, fun to watch.

Could we ask for anything better, maybe warmer weather, but it isn't Hawaii.

Room Tip: We have a view from the side and it is fine.

The higher up you are, the better the views you will have of the Inner Harbor. We were on the 6th floor, so our view was nice. If you want the best views, you will need to reserve a pent house. These are at the end of the two buildings. On the inside, the rooms are small and narrow but adequate and nicely decorated. There was also a washer and dryer in the room. If you want to sleep in late, bring ear plugs. The sea planes are taking off and landing frequently and can be quite loud. There was a very nice exercise room, 2 computers available for guests, but no game room. The heated pool was very nice with a small shallow kiddie pool and a large hot tub. Fisherman's Wharf is next door to the pool - an easy walk with a playground for the kids. You can get around the Inner Harbor by bus, taxi, or pedi cab. If you choose to walk, downtown is about 20 minutes away. We walked it once, but didn't do any shopping. If we had bags to carry, the hike back to the room would have been difficult. A moonlit walk around the Inner Harbor was a nice way to end our stay in Victoria. We will definitely be back.

My friend and I had the pleasure of staying at this facility for most of a week. We shared a 2 bed, 2 bath.
Stand outs for this property are: the location overlooking the Inner Harbour, the washer/dryer in the unit, the full kitchen, a balcony, the proximity to the WA ferry, the proximity to downtown , and the proximity to a grocery. The unit was clean and staff were helpful. Parking was provided for no extra charge. Fisherman's Wharf is just around the corner. There is also a coffee shop near by and a convenience store.
I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We stayed for a week in a two bedroom on the first floor. We had a wonderful location, close to all the harbor activities as well as walking distance to downtown and many major tourist areas. The suite was clean, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped, the balcony had a BBQ so it was easy to have meals and it was close to the Thrifty's grocery which was a good place to shop. There was parking on site and it was easy to find access to other parts of the city and surrounding areas. We would recommend this as a great place to stay in Victoria.

Our two bedroom apartment was spacious with plenty of room for the four of us. Since we were there in early April it was a bit chilly but the apartment was warm and well appointed with plenty of crookery and cookware. It is situated just around the corner from the fisherman's wharf where you can get fresh fish or choose from a selection of causal seafront takeaway and eat in cafes. Friendly staff, a good gym and the waterfront walk is right in front of the apartments.

Room Tip: All the rooms seem to have a view but the ones at the ends of the walkways facing the water have the...

I was in a 2 bedroom unit for 5 days in Worldmark Victoria. The seagull came to visit several days and it was raining 3 of the 5 days I was there. Being Nov and low season, some of the places closed like Red Fish Blue Fish or others had reduced hours. Staff are helpful and nice.

Getting here from Vancouver is a bus or car. ride, a ferry then another bus or car/ cab ride. It is far simplier to take the passenger boat from Seattle for the seaplane but the luggage is very limited. Sometimes the seaplanes have sales for weekend flights.

The view and waterfront are best features of these units and you can swim in the heated pool or use the jacuzzi even with the cold weather. But honestly I think it is better to be there in season when the weather is nicer since it was a tad too wet and and half closed for my taste even though I tend to like things a bit off season to avoid the crowds.

My parents (pensioners), sister and I spent 5 nights at Worldmark Victoria. Our condo was overlooking the pool and boathouses /fishermanswharf (200 meter walk from condo). We enjoyed watching the seaplanes take take off and land. Sunny weather the entire time. The condo was nice and was more than adequate for 4 people. I used the "twin" bedroom at the back of the condo. I would have like to have a view or at least a window I could look out of. "The window" was made of glass bricks. The bed was great and I slept well. My sister had the Murphey bed in the living room and slept well. My parents enjoyed the master bedroom with a view down to the boathouses. Service was excellent, we had a minor problem with a toilet seat cracking, it didn't take more than 10 minutes after our call to reception that maintenance was at the door and fixed the problem in a freindly professional way.

We visited Fisgard lighthouse, worth visiting, well presented and informative. Take a picnic and enjoy the area and view from the top of the fort that overlooks the litghhouse.

Visited Butchart Gardens - Enjoyed the gardens that were at the beginning of the blooming season. A wheelchair was available which made my mothers day more relaxing and enjoyable. Wheelchair access to almost all parts of the gardens. :) Make sure you take a ride on the Carousell!!

I did not take out any Canadian dollars, businesses accepted USD.

Ate at:
"The 4 mile pub" food nothing fantastic but a nice atmosphere.
"Red fish Blue fish" on the wharf - waited one hour in line for some nice fish and chips. Coleslaw was too salty for my liking. (You have to pay cash!)

Top tip: Order a water taxi to pick you up at Fishermanswharf and take you to the docks in front of the empress. If you order a return trip at the same time you will save a dollar. So 9 dollars for a nice boat ride t/r, no hassle find a parking space, and a little harbour tour to boot! Nice! Make sure to get a belgian waffle on the dock. Yummy.

I would go back as there are many more places to explore. The condo is in a good location. Two minute drive from the Balck ball ferry terminal.
