These high class accomidations offered a breath taking view both morning and night. We enjoyed a fabulous stay welcomed by friendly, helpful staff. The cozy bar offered some great local drinks served by knowledgable staff. We were rewarded by staying here by being picked up at the back door by a local tour bus who provided to be entertaining

Based on other TripAdivsor reviews, I booked this hotel for our 35th anniversary.
During the reservation process I was specific about the reason for our stay and my strong desire for a view of the harbor, with a view of the government building a big plus.
The reservation process was thorough and included sage advice, and a follow-up email was provided with confirmation.
Our suite was on the 8th floor of the north-west wing and on the north-east corner. This had fantastic views of both the harbor and government building. The layout of the suite was a bit awkward though, as it was configured with 2 queen beds and not a single king. But, you will find the decor very nice and the bed - which-ever one you decide on - comfortable.
The hotel staff from reception through food services and maintenance were top notch. When we arrived at the Harbor-Air warf terminal accross the inner harbor, a call to the hotel concierge resulted in a cab picking us up within a couple of minutes. The hotel graciously covered the cab ride since the shuttle was not running on the weekend. However, if you are traveling light it is only a few blocks to the hotel entrance on a mostly flat route.
Our anniversary dinner was arranged by the conciege at the "Mark" restraunt, the more formal of the two dining options within the propety. The dinner was excellently prepared, and it was presented with all the explanation and fanfare expected from a doting wait-staff and maitre'd. An extensive and expensive wine list also accompanies the menu. Be prepared to drop between 200 and 300 american if you have dinner for two, but you will spend the entire evening there while being entertained by the staff.
Fortunately for us the hotel provides umbrellas for guests during their stay which makes sightseeing very easy. If you plan to just tour the downtown area shops and haunts, visit the museum, or explore Beacon Hill park, it is all within a few blocks to a mile or so of the hotel. Walking is absolutely the best way to see this friendly and scenic destination.
After a day of wandering around, I recommned the hot tube down at the athletic center.

Travelling with work, the place we thought was booked did not have our reservation and we had to find a place at the last minute. We checked out this hotel and found that the rates were very reasonable. The service was great from the moment we arrived and they even upgraded us to harbor views. The rooms were very well done and clean with a comfortable sleep. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is visiting Victoria, as it is near everything.

Across the street from the Victoria Clipper...a convenient 3 minute walk. This was our first trip to Victoria and through other reviews decided not to rent a car. We walked to town which was very close. The hotel is close enough to everything yet away from all the hustle and bustle. The hop-on hop-off bus was across the street from the hotel making getting around and siteseeing that much easier. The room was pretty basic but very comfortable. The restaurant seemed a bit expensive but the food was decent and employees were very helpful and friendly.

Went up to BC for a business meeting in April and stayed at the Grand Pacific for 3 nights.

The hotel is of superior quality and service is outstanding. Great location over looking the inner harbor.

Room - Very nice with great bedding
Views - Overlooking harbor
Food - We ate next door at the cafe in the Day's Inn, no reason just convenient and economical
Lounge - Watched hockey on big screens at the Sports lounge located next door at Day's inn

Room Tip: Get room overlooking harbor
