Easy commute to University of Victoria, walking distance to everything downtown. Beautiful interior, comfortable and clean. AAA discount, early check-in, would definitely stay again. Room service timely and hot, great restaurants, movie theatres, and other harbor options - whale watching, boat rides, ferry. Parking available under building - drive to Vancouver ferry, about 30-45 minutes. Great location, great stay.

Room Tip: Asked for Harbor View - small balcony!

This is a charming, warm, comfortable hotel. It exudes class, elegance, and perfection from another era upon entering the lobby. I had a suite with a king bed and two small balconies -- bed was exceptionally comfortable, the room was nicely appointed (loved the French doors), and there was beautiful art on the walls. It was very clean. The fitness center was really excellent and there was an amazing lap pool (unfortunately I had not packed a swim suit). I was there on business and buffet breakfast and lunch fare were outstanding. If I am fortunate enough to return to Victoria in the future, this hotel will be at the top of my list.

Room Tip: Go high and make sure you have a frontal view of the harbor!

Ron R,

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are quite proud to be the only hotel in Victoria to offer all rooms with balconies. We are sincerely glad you enjoyed the room. The Victoria Athletic club is a jewel of the property, I hope you'll be able to experience it on your return trip. If you do forget your swim suite again, we do have them for sale at the club.

We look forward to welcome you back in the near future.

Warm regards,

James Fry

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Grand Pacific. We came on the clipper from Seattle, the hotel was literally steps from the dock. The hotel and property is lovely, clean and well maintained. The front desk staff, door man, bell hop etc. were all extremely friendly, cheery and helpful. We had city view rooms but we could easily view the harbor as well. The rooms are a nice size, quiet and the beds were very comfortable.

We enjoyed breakfast in the Hotel restaurant (the buffet is great) I even got gluten free toast! The Cafe also offers soy, rice or almond milk lattes. The waitstaff was helpful & accommodating as we had our 18 month old daughter, they sat us near the widows and brought her fresh fruit to nibble on while we waited for our order.

We also enjoyed the fitness center and pool. The have a "kiddy pool" and a giant lap pool, also a sauna and hot tub. I used the fitness studio for my own yoga practice but there are also classes throughout the day if you're so inclined.

The location of the hotel is great, you're walking distance to Fisherman's Warf which has great little places for a quick lunch of fish and chips. Our daughter enjoyed feeding fish to the friendly Harbor Seals too. "The Fish Store" offers gluten free batter made from Sorghum flour and uses a dedicated fryer.

We walked just a block down to see the Parliament buildings, the Royal BC Museum, Beacon Hill Park is just a little further away, but still an easy walk. The Animal Farm was a big hit, the baby pigs had just been born and we also had fun feeding and brushing the goats.

We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for our Honeymoon and could not have been happier! From checking in to checking out i have nothing bad to say abut this place. Front desk folks were friendly, professional and very helpful. Our room was glorious (sp) with a beautiful view of the Parliment building. Bed was very comfortable, with lush feather comforter and pillows. When i called to see if they had non-feather pillows, they said they would take care of it. When we returned to our room they had remade our bed with new comforter AND pillows! We stopped in the Lounge for drinks and had a grand time, the bartender was amusing and gave us EXCELLENT service. Food was good. The next nite we had a different bartender and he was also very friendly and accomidating.
We were within walking distance to town and pier, it was a perfect location! I would definitly stay here again.

We booked this hotel mainly because of its quality and location. It was easy walking distance to downtown shopping, the museum of BC, and the ferry terminal. We did a walk-on from Port Angeles and the hotel was right across the street. No problem with the early check-in and our room was ready. Our concierge was very helpful and had some great ideas for a fun visit. The view was great and the room was very nice. Beds were comfortable. We were able to get a fair price, but we were there in off-season. I would stay at this hotel again!

Room Tip: The room facing the water was great.

We chose this hotel because it is just across the street from the dock where the Victoria Clipper arrives! Easy access! We enjoy the ammenities available in the hotel and the closeness to the inner harbor (again, across the street) and to the Gov't. bldg and Empress Hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and CLEAN. Each has its own safe you can store your neccessary items of value. The quality of the breakfasts in the hotel restaurant have declined slightly from last year's visit. All the items cooked on a grill or in a skillet seemed to have an heavy, oily taste. (We opted to eat elsewhere the next morning (Cup Of Joe Cafe).) One nice feature of this hotel is the ability to store your bags with the bellman on the last day of your stay; then pick up the bags later in the day when you depart on the Clipper.) Daily papers are a nice touch...but we sure to turn them OFF when you register, if you don't want the papers. You will be charged for them!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the east wing for better views and a set of newer rooms. The west wing is the old...

We stayed at the Grand Pacific with our two teenage daughters the night before participating in the TC10K and found the close proximity to the start and finish lines ideal. Our room was beautiful, with balconies overlooking the Inner Harbour, Empress, and Parliament Buildings. It was also spotless, with marvelously comfortable beds and endless hot water for showers. Professional, courteous staff were happy to help, making check-in and -out a quick and painless experience. We parked our vehicle in the hotel's underground parkade and walked to a nearby restaurant for dinner, and were allowed to leave our vehicle there while we shopped after check-out the next day. We really couldn't be happier with our stay at the Grand Pacific.
