“Beautiful location in Inner Harbour”

Had a beautiful room overlooking harbour on the 4 floor. Watch age action from balcony. Rooms are compact but serve purpose. We had 2 queens as king wasn't available. 10% discount if you have any roadside assist membership worldwide.

Do not stay in room 1039. The suite wraps around the back of the elevator so the bedroom is right behind the elevator. You hear the noise from it 24/7. 3 sleepless nights. The hotel said that there was noise in the room, but this is the worst I have experienced in all my travels. They need to sound proof this room, and probably all the other rooms below this one (i.e. 939, 839...). If they off you this room, do not take it !!! Everything else about the hotel was fine.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. I am sorry that your stay did not meet expectations.

I was quite concerned about your comments and as a team we spent a great deal of time discussing your experience and reviewing the noise levels in the room.
We are aware that there is, at times, a small amount of extra noise in the room as a result of its location. As well, we always make sure to confirm with guests that they are not sensitive to a small potential noise issue.
We have made efforts to reduce the noise and many guests who have stayed in room 1039 have been very positive about their stay and their night’s sleep.

I am shocked and concerned that you were kept up for three days. If you had let us know about the issue we would have been happy to find another room for you and your family.

We will certainly review our options to further reduce any additional noise in this suite.

Thank you for your constructive feedback and observations from your recent visit. Your reflections are greatly appreciated as it allows us to review our services so we can continue to deliver exceptional guest experience. We hope to have the privilege and pleasure of serving you again the next time you are in the city for either business or pleasure.

Regards,
Emory Haines

I stayed in January it was very cold but I didn't mind as the hotels welcome was very warm. Fantastic spa treatments! I recommend the hot/ cold jade stone massage. The breakfast selection is massive and the room very comfy. A fantastic experience. If you can also book a sea adventure to spot the wildlife:)

The Grand Pacific hotel is right across the street from the harbor. If you are into views, this will afford you one of the best in Victoria. The hustle of sea buses and taxis, ferries, and the hippo are right in front of you should you choose the rooms facing the harbor. Sandwiched between the Grand Pacific and the Empress hotels are the Royal BC Museum and the BC Legislative House; you can’t get any closer to the action.

The front desk staff is professional; they greet you with a welcoming smile. The common areas are immaculate. The elevator takes you directly from the self-park underground level to your room floor.

The hotel has 2 wings. One is perpendicular to the harbor and the other is parallel. The rooms in the perpendicular wing appear to be larger (longer). The rooms in the parallel wing are squarish, which is where we were; these rooms are well appointed but a bit small for 2 double beds. One of the beds is a few inches from the balcony sliding window.

A couple notes: The room safe is squarish and a 17-inch laptop will not fit in there. The hairdryer is small and weak. The back side of the hotel faces other hotels; if a harbor view is not important, then there are likely more affordable options right next to the Grand Pacific. That being said, the harbor view was one of the highlights of our stay.

Room Tip: Rooms perpendicular to the harbor appear larger and more rectangular. Rooms parallel to the harbor a...

Excellent position over looking the harbour. Very comfortable rooms. By European standards restaurant closed a little early - food was excellent and they were happy to modify the menu due to dietary needs. Would stay there again

First impressions of this hotel are very good and service appears to be top class but we had one or two incidents which took the gloss off the short stay we had.
The rooms were fantastic and the location of the hotel was equally as good. We walked to the water front with ease and enjoyed the markets, shops, restaurants and bars.
We were transiting from Vancouver to Seattle and the Vancouver ferry service dropped us a few blocks from the hotel and the Seattle ferry leaves from almost in front of the hotel so this was very convenient.
Breakfast was adequate but again a dismissive server took the gloss off the experience.

Room Tip: We had the City View Suites and these were extremely good value and comfortable.
