This was an awesome experience. The ambiance of the rooms was such that it crossed my mind to stay there instead of explore Victoria. The staff was friendly, helpful and service oriented. The breakfast was just right, not too heavy or too light, and the food was delicious. Although, not truly a restaurant, I still rated the wait service and breakfast served under that category. I can't think of a thing that could have made my stay more enjoyable with the exception of getting to stay longer. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

They spare no expense when it comes to the breakfast they offer.......it is terrific!!! The entire staff is OUTSTANDING........ helpfull, professional and very friendly.
The late afternoon treats they serve at 5:00 are equallly good.
The rooms are spotless and everything in perfect order.

Room Tip: The claw foot bathtub is NOT that easy to enter or exit, if you are compromised from a mobility sta...

I'm not sure I have ever encountered more accomodating and cheerful service than we experienced during our three night stay at Abigails. We were six for a family reunion, and it seemed to me that we were always asking for something which was immediately granted. As for the food, it was amazing! We were all extremely happy with our stay.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper get a room at the back. Never mind the fire place room in the summer.

The stay at Abigail's was one of the best I have ever had. Service was impeccable. Rooms great. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff could not help you enough. Well worth the price. A few blocks away from all the tourist stuff but easily within walking distance.

We stayed at Abigail's at the end of a 2 week Alaskan cruise, and it was the perfect place to unwind. The rooms are lovely, breakfast is delicious, the staff is helpful and courteous. Location is perfect - a short walk to the harbor area, shops and restaurants. I know a lot of people visiting Victoia want to stay at the Empress, but I would recommend Abigail's as an elegant and much smaller, and less crowded, alternative. Take tea at the Princess but indulge yourself at Abigail's.

We spent two nights here in June and really enjoyed our stay. This is an excellent b&b with an outstanding staff. The team could not have been more friendly and helpful. The room was charming, beautifully decorated and immaculate. The breakfast was excellent. There are only two things of which you should be aware. 1)They are a 10 minute walk from downtown where all the action is. If walking is a problem for you, you may want to consider one of the downtown hotels. Of course you can always call a cab. 2) this is a multistory hotel without an elevator. The staff was very good, hauling our suitcases up and down the stairs for us, but if you can't deal with stairs be sure you are reserving a first floor room, or consider the Marriott. As for us, when we're in Victoria you'll find us at Abigail's.

Perfect hotel / B&B in ideal location in Victoria. Rooms are spacious, with great young energetic staff willing to go the extra mile to make your stay perfect. Set in an old residence, with wonderful ambiance and charm, the lodging includes a chef-prepared breakfast and terrific hors d'ouerves in the late afternoon - pates, shrimp, custom cheeses, homemade soups - just enough to allow you to go light on dinner at any of the delicious restaurants the staff might recommend. A Keurig coffee maker is always available in the lobby and in some of the guest rooms.

The rooms vary in price, the more expensive rooms containing their own wood-burning fireplaces (wood included). A perfect place to begin or to re-kindle a romance.

The downstairs library is perfect for enjoying a cocktail or excellent BC wine. Connoisseurs, don't discount the BC wines - they are excellent.

Abigail's is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the shore, the Royal BC museum, the Empress Hotel and the pier. And free parking is included. Couldn't be nicer.

Guests ranged in age from newly-weds to late 60s. No children when we visited, and although I am sure children would be welcome, this is really a place for adults looking forward to peace, quiet and relaxation. Leave the kids home with their grandparents!

Room Tip: As a heritage hotel, they are not able to install an elevator, so you or the friendly staff will hav...
