I can't say enough about this place. Absolutely beautiful facility. We were in one of the rooms on the top floor and it was so lovely. Truly comfortable bed, which is not something I think I have ever said before. The staff gets an A+ for helpfulness and friendliness. The breakfast in the morning was perfect. Just really wonderful all the way around.

Stayed here for a long weekend. This is an excellent boutique hotel, not a b and b as described by other reviewers. Everything clean, comfortable and nice. Bed very comfortable, bedroom overlooking car park was very quiet. Breakfast absolutely marvellous, delicious choices and scones a wonder. The bakery items from breakfast are wrapped and left for you to enjoy all day, along with the coffee and tea available. Such a pity that all the other guests enjoyed the scones as well as ourselves - there were none left for the basket one day! Nice cookies on arrival, along with water and good stuff in bathroom. Super claw foot tub, rain shower, all worked really well. Every single member of staff super helpful, fetched real milk for tea rather than cream for us, lovely big library with books and dvds to borrow, and enormous flat screen tv to watch. Evening appetizers were substantial and we did not need to eat out one night. No elevator, but they help with bags if you need this. Loads of parking in back. Bit of a walk to harbor, but it's a walking city, they supply umbrellas, and that's why we came here. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Our room at back was very quiet.

We had the pleasure of staying at Abigail's for 16 days and it was wonderful! The king size bed was so comfortable and the room spacious for two people plus luggage. The library was a great place to spend time with other guests or just reading by the fire on a rainy day. But it is the staff that makes this hotel so great. Chef Matt makes incredible breakfasts that start your day off so well - words do not adequately do justice to how enjoyable they are. Then to make the experience even better, there are appetizers from 5 to 7 pm that tempt your palate again. The entire staff are friendly and helpful - this is truly home away from home. I can not imagine going to Victoria again and staying anywhere else. It is situated so well to downtown, yet in such a lovely, quiet residential area. You really wouldn't need a car, yet there is ample free parking if you have one. We can't wait to go back!

My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Abigail s in Victoria. The room was very cozy and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. I will definitely stay at this location again the next time I return to this lovely city.

As I like to do these days, I check TripAdvisor before I book my trips. Usually choosing the Fairmont, but finding it hard to always justify the premium rate, I like to try boutique hotels. Wow, what a find. Thanks to TripAdvisor and Abigail's business rate I could not pass up trying it for the 2 nights I was in.
Arriving a little later 20:30 into a lovely cozy lobby, I asked if there was a place to eat nearby. Not only was I directed to a fantastic restaurant (Café Brio), the staff called the restaurant for me to be sure the kitchen would accommodate me.
The room was fabulous, large king, large room (double the size then the typical hotel room) and a fabulous bathroom complete with large claw foot tub-shower.
Breakfast included - fabulous quality, and evening canapés and wine (the wine at a cost). Internet included.
I walked to my meetings by the harbour. What more could anyone want. no wonder it is rated #1 in Victoria.
I will definitely return. Thank you Abigail's.

Room Tip: I chose the slightly larger room.

My wife found Abigail's via an internet search. Her first check was to see if it was on the list of known hotels with bedbugs, which is wasn't. In fact, every thing was immaculate from our room to the library to the dining area. Our room was spacious and the bed was as comfortable as we've ever encountered in a hotel (soft sheets and pillows, too). At 5 PM gourmet appetizers are available as well as a basic list of beverages from which you can choose. The breakfast was outstanding, which included fruit, juice, cheese scone or croissant, coffee or tee, and the main course of your choice. Abigail's is a short drive from the Victoria harbor and main downtown area; on a sunny, summer day it would be a nice walk to the shops downtown. Being relatively close to downtown, we were amazed how quiet it was. The staff is a delight - friendly and always wanting to ensure everything is perfect with your stay. A friend of ours is moving to the Victoria area so we'll be visiting Vancouver Island more often. Abigail's Hotel will definitely be the first place we check to stay at.

Wonderful! Lovely room, everything just perfect. Gourmet breakfast, gourmet appetizers in the evening - all included in the room price. Delightful, friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble for them. I am so impressed with this hotel and will most definitely return for a longer stay I hope!

Room Tip: Approach the staff at any time, about anything. They are wonderful and the front desk is 24/7.
