“Some exhibits are good - depends on schedule”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

The Art Gallery is removed from downtown which makes it a trip in itself - a bit dated but sometimes has good exhibits. The art sales is good and the gift shop cute. It's worth checking the calendar to see what's on.

“See some of Emily Carr's work in Victoria”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 September 2013

Emily Carr is justifiably one of Canada's most acclaimed artists--and as one of Victoria's own, her long-time presence is commemorated by the bronze sculpture of her (with her dog andMonkey "Woo") on the Inner Harbor, as well as her historic home. But the Art Gallery is the only place in Victoria see her work. Well worth the trip by bus or walk uphill from downtown if you won't be seeking out her work in Vancouver city.

“Imagination”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

You can see anything you can think of. Art on the walls, to hand blown glass. Take your time to look at everything in the gallery.

This beautiful gallery, with excellent exhibits, is in a gorgeous space connected to a historic mansion with a Japanese garden in the courtyard. Not to be missed!

“Emily Carr exhibit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2013

There is a permanent Emily Carr exhibit at the Gallery. The various exhibits that come there are almost always wonderful and well worth the visit. Great gift shop too!
