Owner description: What was once the site of the historical Fort Victoria is now a lively gathering place filled with galleries and sidewalk restaurants.

Amidst all the souvenir shops is a short street with everything packed into one place. I was there a few times at different times of the day and on different days of the week. I agree that the best time is Sunday afternoon.

This is a short street that has vendors set up selling their hand made goods. Some very interesting items, mostly jewelery. The street is lined with restaurants and also is home to the Maritime Museum, which I never had time to check out.

On Sunday afternoons, musicians set up and it is good backdrop music for strolling around the street.

Thank Etagem

This is the old part of Victoria and it is well kept. Fun to walk around and look in the shops and museums.

This pedestrian street is full or vendors and local artists who sell their creations. If you want something typical of Victoria, this is the place to go. Although there seems to be vendors through out the week, Sunday is the best time to go. More kiosques, local bands playing music and people sitting all over the stairs listening. I had a beer on the corner terrace while listening to the music. Sooooo nice!

Typical Victorian place for gather ups after works. The street is full of small restaurants and pubs that in the afternoon gets full of people looking to release some steam and have some fun. The place is quiet during the day but gets crowded at night. Worth to have a look if you are in the area.

Worth a look especially on a sunny day. Several good pubs and restaurants at the top and bottom end of the square. Sometimes there are street traders and buskers in and around. Good atmosphere.
