On a very comfortable boat - we liked the idea of not sitting in a zodiac as the water was rough the day we went out. Our guide was very knowledgable and interesting. We saw lots of whales - we actually lost count - mostly orcas as well as sea lions, bald eagles and dolphins. It was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it.
Bring a sweater as it was cool out on the water. Definitely bring binoculars and a camera.

Had a great day - saw some whales, seals, eagle. The scenery was beautiful!! One of the guides, Kegen (sp?) was very thorough, gave lots of information, was interesting, never dull. I felt very safe, the boat was in good condition, lots of room for everyone to see. Would recommend!

I went on my birthday and was hoping to see Orcas, which I missed on two trips to the San Juan Islands. The naturalist on board was wonderful. Not only did we see a pod of orcas that day (5 whales), we also saw a mother and son humpback whale. The younger whale breached several times. It was amazing!. Tips: bring binoculars because the boat isn't allowed to get too close to the whales. Unless you have a great camera with a zoom, leave the pictures to the professional on the boat and don't miss the experience of viewing these magnificent creatures!

The crew is very knowledgeable about marine life and keep you entertained with very educational information as you are watching for the whales. Don't forget your cameras like we did!

You can ride on the upper level outside, or in the front of the catamaran outside, or inside. Be aware: It can be a very warm day on land, but out there on the ocean in the spring when we went, it was cold enough for a winter jacket and a hat! Be prepared for that.

They even give you a guided tour of the James Bay Harbor when you come and go. We saw Baker Mountain & Mt. Raineir which is not usually visible, so we felt very blessed and were so happy about that, as Mt. Rainier was not visible when we got to Seattle due to the rain and clouds. We also passed San Juan Island.

We got a groupon coupon for 1/2 off of each of our tickets. I recommend this company or any of the others that take you out whale watching. It is a wonderful experience.
