We stayed in the hotel twice last year, and were happy enough with it to book again this year. However we were a bit less happy this year.

We have now stayed there four times. the first two times we got room 150 which was spacious and had a kitchenette. We were expecting the same this time around, but for the first stay of six days we were given room 156, which was unworkably small for us. For our second stay of two days we got room 162 which was more spacious and had a kitchenette again.

It's an inexpensive hotel. The rooms are well appointed for what they are. The beds are comfortable. The air conditioning was pretty noisy and opening the windows lets in road noise. The section we were in is a separate building, and really more like a motel. So you get a stream of people walking past your room, which can also be noisy late at night.

Location is not downtown, but convenient for us as we were visiting friends. The staff are helpful. Some of the public areas are nice, others could use refurbishment.

The breakfast is included, but it's very no frills. The breakfast room was also very crowded. They opened an overflow room, but didn't put supplies in there (e.g. spreads for toast) so we had to interrupt other diners and ask for some of theirs. The breakfast is also served on cheap paper plates and plastic cutlery. We ended up skipping the breakfast most days.

The hotel is workable but not outstanding. We would certainly consider staying there again, but we would also look at other options.

We stayed here for a week in the main building. Used cab service when visiting downtown. Buchart garden is a 20 minute drive (a must do). Facility very well maintained and staff was exceptional. Used the pub on several occasions. Food good and nice patio. One of the best values in the area. Only downsides - internet was very poor, kicked out intermittently at all hours of day and night. We spent 1 night whilst in town and had a comfortable sleep. Being a family of 4, we stayed in room 336 which sported a queen bed and pull out couch. It worked well for us. The staff at the desk were VERY friendly and attentive. The premises was clean and well kept. Being a vegan, I was a little unimpressed with the breakfast. They ran out of fruit and all there really was were waffles, sausage, and eggs. That worked out well for the rest of my family however I had little to eat. Luckily I brought some granola and almond milk so at least had something to eat. I would definitely suggest more vegan breakfast options such as soy or almond milk, in addition to the regular cow's milk. Overall, we had a comfortable sleep and were pleased with our stay.

We stayed 2 nights over a weekend while in town to visit my aunt. Room was good size, comfortable bit the AC was a little underpowered for our taste. Guest laundry was a single washer and dryer located in the underground parade which was odd and awkward. Breakfast was mediocre and ran out of fruit and choices. Staff were pleasant and friendly. My dad became ill and I asked the front desk to call an amba e and the clerk gave me her personal cell so the I could talk to 911 and stay with my dad in the breakfast room. I was surprised that no manager came to see what was going on while the ambulance was in the lot or check with us Afterwards to see if everything was ok which thankfully it was. Overall hotel was ok only.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay, Marli F.

We are pleased to hear that your room was comfortable and a good size for you. Our guest laundry is located in our underground parkade, just beside our hotel laundry facilities, to keep noise and congestion to a minimum.

We are pleased that our staff could help you during this trying time, and we understand that it was dealt with quickly and thoroughly. Management was made aware that our Front Desk Agent was able to assist you and that the situation was resolved successfully.

We hope to see you again the next time you visit Victoria.

Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was complimentary, which was a nice plus. There is a pub next door which compliments the hotel in terms of food/beverage services. Hall outside of room was not air-conditioned and had a strange odour, but fortunately, you could not smell it in the room. Good place for a one or two night stay.

Room was in the 5 storey building it was reasonably large. It was nice and relaxing overnight stay. beddings are new added by a low room rate. They also have complimentary breakfast which is awesoe as we have to go back to Vancouver early in the morning where most of the resto are still closed. I will stay again in this hotel when I come back to Victoria Island.

Room Tip: Rooms in 5 storey building is more cleaner and nicer.

A good overnight stay in Victoria - the hotel is near Fisherman's Wharf and Victoria downtown. Room is reasonably large, decoration is old fashion but can't complain given the low room rate. Our room was on ground floor but suprisingly quiet. They also offered complimentry breakfast, not a large selection but good enough with sausages and eggs, waffles and muffins etc. Guest overnight parking is also free. We do recommend it if you are looking for a quick stay in Victoria.
