This is a great Hotel
Close to walk to the Empress Hotel, or the Inner Harbour, or Shopping along Government st.
Beacon Hill park is 15 mins away, and parking wasn't an issue, as they have 3 lot's to choose and park in.

Rooms quiet, with great views of the city....
Internal restaurant on the top floor provides sweeping views of the city, which is awesome at night.

Can't beat the location here, you won't be disappointed.

We were booked this hotel through Clipper and we were very pleasantly surprised during our stay. The Chateau Victoria is probably a 15-20 minute walk from the Belleville Terminal, near the National and Budget car rental offices. We arrived at around 11:30 AM and just wanted to drop off our luggage but we were surprisingly informed that a room was ready for us. The entire hotel looks new and our room was great, the bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows, shower pressure and hot water were great, too. There were apples in the lobby which were really tasty and the hotel is a short walk to everywhere in Victoria. A fantastic stay and a great value.

This was our second stay at the Chateau Victoria, the first being four years ago. Both visits were with a group of dragon boat racers, dozens of whom stayed in the hotel. The hotel staff went out of its way to accommodate our needs, such as storing bags, life vests and paddles when we arrived too early to check in, and by running countless trips with the hotel's shuttle to the race venue and to restaurants around town.

The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the rooms quiet. A call to the front desk with a maintenance problem produced a repairman at our door in less than ten minutes.

The location is excellent, only two short blocks from the harbor and from numerous eateries. I can definitely recommend this hotel highly.

Room Tip: The hotel is set well back from the street so room selection probably isn't of much importance.

A block or two from the busiest tourist zone, but a nice place to relax and recharge. Front desk helpful for directions. Tight parking but we found a spot and kept it. Easy, safe walking in the area. They let us borrow an umbrella as bit of rain when we took a walk.
Clive's for dinner and drinks on main level. Lively atmosphere, great service. There is a fancier restaurant on the top floor for a view. A bit pricey there, but a good spot for family celebrations or a special date. Our room on the 4th floor was medium sized, comfortable and clean. Only catch was I had to close the windows as they faced the loading dock below. Trash trucks early, other loads came late. There was a fan/air conditioning unit in room that was quiet, kept us cool. Got room service for breakfast. Food hot, delicious and on time.
Hotel has indoor pool, Jacuzzi and workout area on the second floor. When the elevator doors opened on that floor, the smell of chlorine about knocked me over. Not sure if they just doused the pool or what, but my eyes burned the closer I got to the pool. Someone was swimming in it, looked like a lovely pool. Workout room was less chlorine-y as seemed to be sealed off from the pool part. I didn't use any of those amenities.
I'd stay here again and ask for 4th floor, but maybe not by the loading dock. Was told the higher floors are more expensive. All in all, a pleasant break from the din of touristy downtown.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms without the loading dock "view." Higher rooms are nearly double in price ab...

This hotel is located directly behind (north) the Empress Hotel, so there is not a harbor view on the lower floors. It is, however, 18 floors tall, so you should get a good view if you are above the Empress roofline.

The rooms were spacious and the beds were extra comfortable. Our tour group stayed for 2 nights, and the staff was very efficient in checking in the 50 person group.

It is located right near the Inner Harbour, and within walking distance of everything downtown.

It has a restaurant: "Vista 18 - This rooftop restaurant/lounge offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily along with panoramic views of the city and harbor. Multi-level seating ensures views from all seats. West Coast fusion menu features meat and seafood favorites as well as vegetarian dishes, including wild mushroom ravioli, and curried vegetable bowl with seasonal local vegetables and basmati rice pilaf."

Amenities include: "At your hotel: Indoor pool. Spa tub, Spa services, on siteConcierge services, Room service (limited hours),Coffee shop or caféBar/lounge,Breakfast available (surcharge),Multilingual staff,24-hour front desk,Porter/bellhop,Express check-out"

"In your room"Pay movies, Premium bedding, Climate control, Complimentary newspaper, Blackout drapes/curtains, Free local calls, Coffee/tea maker, Designer toiletries, Hair dryer, In-room massage available, Cable TV, serviceIron/ironing board.

Room Tip: Higher floors (above Empress roofline) may have a harbor view.

We recently backpacked through British Columbia and took the ferry from Vancouver to Victoria during the middle of our trip. The Chateau Victoria was a gorgeous and very accommodating hotel. We booked a spacious suite and were pleasantly surprised! A definite highlight was the central location downtown. We were able to walk everywhere! Our highlights were the Royal BC Museum and the Beacon Hill Park sea view!

I spent three nights here with my husband and two kids. The location was great. We stayed in a one bedroom with one bed in one room and another in the main living space. Worked great with the kids. My only issue was the air conditioning was only in the bedroom, making the living space a little warm. Otherwise a great hotel.
