“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 March 2014

Conveniently located hotel with good beds, spacious bathrooms, and nice furnishings. Wifi and in-room coffee machines are good. The main downside is a marginal sound insulation (they give you free ear plugs ;)), though it never stopped us from sleeping. We stayed 2 nights and our towels and toiletries were not changed/replaced after night 1. There are free vouchers for morning coffee + muffin. Parking is $15/day, a little steep for my taste.

Room Tip: To avoid road noise, try something not facing the major avenue next to the hotel.

Well located. Nice room, pretty small though, fridge, microwave, coffee machine. Heated floor in the bathroom (real pleasure for the feet) ! Go Green feature, if you don't need housekeeping they give you à 10$/day credit to be apply at their restaurants. People are smiley and allways try to be helpful. Would go there again.

Me, my daughter and my mom stayed for 3 nights at the Rialto Hotel and loved it!
The staff really made a conscious effort to make our stay a great experience.
Amazing value in price!
The location couldn't have been better.
The hotel was truly beautiful. It was VERY quiet and CLEAN.
They revamp it to the last detail, kept it's original character and added a modern charm.
Being a smaller business and GREEN made it even more special.
Definitely going back.

We found this hotel online and were impressed with the pics and reviews. Entire hotel was very clean. Rooms were a good size. The only area of our room (207) that needed something was the bathroom. Not enough storage space for toiletries. Just a single sink and a small glass stand.
Cheese tray at 5:00 pm and a voucher for continental breakfast are a surprise. The breakfast we chose was excellent( chickpea eggs benny with pablano sauce). They discounted each meal by $3.00 for the voucher and the coffee was on the house.

Room Tip: The room we had 207 did not have a view it was a well in the middle of the building. You looked into...

We found a very good rate online for this hotel, and got much more than our money's worth. The hotel is very convenient to downtown shopping, with secured parking only a block away. Although the building is old, it has been well renovated. Our room was modern and spotless, with a very comfortable mattress and wonderful pillows. We appreciated the Go Green/Get Green option to forego room service in favour of a $10 restaurant credit. We enjoyed the free cheese plate before going out for dinner. At check-in we were given coupons to use for either free continental breakfast or a breakfast credit, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the cafe (the Croque Madame is excellent). Stopped in at lunchtime for a wonderful daily soup special. Each staff member we encountered at the front desk or cafe were very friendly and helpful. We will return, and our only improvement would be to request a quieter room (an inner room rather than the street view which can be noisy).

Room Tip: The inner rooms don't have a nice view but are quieter than those facing the streets, good if yo...

This hotel is very clean and well run. I was upgraded to a queen suite which was a lovely surprise when I checked in. I chose this hotel based on their photos online. I wanted a hotel that did not have a bedspread on the bed. I always worry about how dirty they are. This room had lovely clean bed linens. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. My suite also had a sink and cupboards with dishes. I was given the option to Go Green which gave me a $10 daily discount in their restaurants which were incredible. I didn't think I needed maid service for 3 nights. At check in I was given a voucher for a free coffee and pastry of my choice. Only negative is their parking is across the street.

From the time we arrived until departing everything was great. Upon getting to our room we noticed the curtain was 1/2 off of the track. I mentioned to cleaning staff that was in the next room and within 5 min. They were up to our room and upgraded us to a king suite. A very nice upgrade. Job well done. The staff really do there jobs well. The Tapa lounge was awesome. From Ken the bartender making us amazing drinks to the best food I have had in many years. A must try is the Duck Poutine. I can not think of anything to complain about. Will go back next time in Victoria.
