I had stayed in Victoria more than ten years ago and this visit was just a layover for the Coho ferry. The hotel was lovely, staff was helpful, room nicely decorated and a great bed. Easy to walk to the waterfront. But the complimentary cheese platter was great because it brought us down to the exquisite restaurant! After that we had two tapas to die for (will extrapolate on the restaurant review) and the service was perfect. I would return in a minute when visiting Victoria. Not to mention that the rates were very reasonable.
