“An OK place to stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

We booked this hotel through BC Ferries. Maybe that's why our room was so small! Beautiful hotel newly refurbished and spotlessly clean everywhere. Bed was comfortable and HVAC was effective. Bathroom was great. Other than the size of our room which did not have space for much of anything except the bed, a very nice hotel.

Room Tip: Make sure you do not get an oversize closet for a room.

The staff were all very friendly, especially those working on reception. The rooms are all very modern, clean and extremely comfortable. The location is good and you can easily walk to all the main sites. The breakfasts in the cafe are fabulous! And the free drink and discount you get are great. The bar is very modern and chic. We only went there once for our free cheese plate and a cocktail but the menu looked good so if we were there for longer we probably would have revisited.

Just left this lovely hotel after two nights. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown, across from the city hall, and close to all attractions and restaurants. The lobby is small but the guess room is of decent size. It was apparent the the room was recently remodeled as it looked sparkling clean and new. Comfortable bed. Very quiet at night as our room was on the inside part, not sire about the street side rooms. The front desk staff were all nice and helpful. They offered a welcome cheese platter at the lounge bar and vouchers for a coffee and pastry for breakfast. I definitely would stay there again if I visit the city next time.

Just leaving Hotel Rialto after a two night stay. The rooms are quite nice, roomy and spotlessly clean. The restaurant was great- we ate breakfast and dinner and enjoyed both. Hotel and restaurant staff were fantastic.

The only thing stopping me from giving the hotel 5 stars is the location. Nicely located for getting anywhere you need to go downtown or on the harbour but we were a bit taken aback by the the people hanging around the street outside the hotel who were kind of rough around the edges, asking for money, yelling at each other, etc. Not the hotel's fault at all. But something to keep in mind if you plan on being out on foot late at night or are travelling with kids. Overall I would still recommend this hotel.

Hi there,
Very happy to see that you enjoyed your time with us at our little property. Thank you for the kudos given to our staff and food and beverage team, they work hard to ensure our dining options are "top drawer" calibre.

I had to look up Port Perry by the way as I'd never heard of it. What a beautiful place you live in, love the quaintness and the Victorian architecture.

Thanks for visiting our city and hope you can make it back sometime soon.

Sincerely,

Rob

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night before our road trip to the west coast of Vancouver Island and it exceeded our expectations! It was amazing and we are so pleased to have found it!

It is located close to the harbour so everything you need to see in Victoria is just a walk away.

The rooms are really clean and decorated of a high standard. The service is also really good and the receptionists are always there to help you! And the breakfast was also really nice! The granola we had was divine - the best one we ever had!

So stay here if you want something nice in a good central location!

Hello Christina,
Thank you for stopping by on your West Coast adventure, we are so lucky to have such an extreme and beautiful coastline so near by. Hope you had an amazing time and happy you made us a part of it.
(That granola would have been just the right fuel to keep you going on your adventure... love that stuff too)

Come see us again.

Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our holiday. Right in the centre of Victoria so easy to reach harbour, bus depot and shops. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and well furnished/equipped room. Lovely bar on ground floor, very relaxing.
We knew the hotel would be noisy but it was very noisy so use the ear plugs or ask for the quietest room they have. However we would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room if you are concerned about noise.

I had stayed in Victoria more than ten years ago and this visit was just a layover for the Coho ferry. The hotel was lovely, staff was helpful, room nicely decorated and a great bed. Easy to walk to the waterfront. But the complimentary cheese platter was great because it brought us down to the exquisite restaurant! After that we had two tapas to die for (will extrapolate on the restaurant review) and the service was perfect. I would return in a minute when visiting Victoria. Not to mention that the rates were very reasonable.

Hi David,

I bet Victoria has changed quite a bit in the last ten years, we've seen a lot of development (our hotel being a part of it).

Very happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and had an opportunity to dine in our restaurant as well.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

Come back soon.
