Hotel Rialto is a recently-updated boutique hotel; so step out of the "chain" and stay here. Our bathroom was a great size, with a huge bathtub, for weary feet after walking to the harbor and about town. The location is just right! Many shops, restaurants nearby, and very walkable to the harbor, Government Street, etc. We walked easily to-and-from the bus station and the Clipper Ship dock, pulling luggage (and yes, we are slightly past middle age). Room was great, king-size bed and linens very comfortable. The only improvement we mentioned, as we left, was the need for brighter lightbulbs in the nightstand lamps.
The hotel presented us with coupons for breakfast pastries and coffee, which we wholeheartedly enjoyed.
