We just got back from spending 2 nights and had a good experience. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. I left an item in my room and they were very nice about looking for it and sending it back to me. The rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast is OK for the money, but if they charged more than $5/person, I would pass. You cannot beat the location, except if you are staying at the Empress Hotel, which would be considerably more money.

Thank you for your review. I am happy you were pleased with the hotel. We do provide a hot breakfast buffet that includes scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausages, bacon, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juices, toast, muffins, croissants, coffee or tea. As well, a regular breakfast menu one can order from. If there are breakfast items a guest would like, our chef is always ready to add additional items. We look forward to your return visit.

I have to say that the Embassy Inn staff were so helpful and accommodating. I booked my dragon boat team rooms at this hotel because it was close to the festival . Any concerns were looked after by Sarah promptly and efficiently . The rooms were clean and comfortable and everyone enjoyed their stay.
I look forward to staying at the Embassy Inn again for a winter holiday

We booked 2 days at the Embassy Inn based on comments by fellow reviewers and a price that suited our budget. We haven't been disappointed, in fact we extended our stay for an extra 2 days.

Pros:
Clean
Generous room size, balcony allows you to air the room
Comfortable bed
Good shower
Quiet fridge with plenty of storage room
Free, good speed wifi
Great location, just a couple of minutes walk from water front
Laundry, great price @ $2/wash and $2/dry. Washing powder available.
In room tea and coffee making facilities
Excellent restaurant (for the night of arrival) - try the baked French onion soup
Good Breakfast @ $12/head, cooked buffet, fruit, juice, toast, cereal, yoghurt etc
Friendly staff
Free parking

Cons
None worth listing

The Embassy is an older property but has been refurbished and kept in great condition. Good value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thanks. Recommended.

Tip: ask the front desk staff for their list of restaurants in Victoria, it's worth it.

We stayed for 2 nights and found it very enjoyable. Our room unfortunately had a view of only another building but the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom required a slightly better cleaning but otherwise OK. The location was perfect and the staff friendly. I recommend the onsite restaurant, the food is spectacular. They were understaffed but the manager was there filling water glasses and helping out which was wonderful to see. We certainly plan on coming back. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Thank you for your review and comments about the dining room. I'll be sure to pass them on to our restaurant and kitchen staff. As well, I'll mention the bathroom to our head housekeeper. Yes, our new beds seem to be a hit with all guests. After all, we do sell sleep!
We look forward to serving you again.

My friends & I stayed at the Embassy Inn, Victoria, BC, recently, (all women) & we were treated with utmost kindness. The staff was very friendly, helpful & accommodating. Especially the Sales Manager, Sarah Melizza, who went the extra mile. We needed chairs for our outdoor table. She brought them & even cleaned them for us. We asked her for a cot since the beds were double size instead of queen, & there it was. The room was very clean & tidy, the coffee & tea were delicious too. The coupons for breakfast were an added bonus. We highly recommend this Inn to everyone visiting Victoria, BC. Looking forward to going back in the near future.
Sincerely, Jo Ann, Lucille & Margaret

As others have said, a very conveniently situated hotel next to the Paerliament building. We were pleasantly surprised to find our room had a 4 ring cooker, microwave and 'fridge. Very useful with the temperature above 30 deg most of the time in July. Also, the aircon could be set to low overnight and was virtually silent.
Staff very helpful, especially as we arrived by car on a Saturday from Calgary with a dodgy alternator which required a jump start to get off the ferry at Swart Bay.
I agree, there does seem to be some confusion over the breakfast vouchers. We booked believing the room rate ( very reasonable from our European perspective) included breakfast, but this fact was omitted on the booking confirmation.
Parking is provided and is very convenient.
Well recommended as a clean, sharp, modern hotel virtually on the Waterfront.

Thank you for the review of your stay with us. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the hotel, staff and location. There are many site on the net where you can reserve a room only rate or you can reserve the same booking with breakfast for only $10 more. I am sorry for the confusion. We look forward to serving you again.
