“Victoria's Best Stay !”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

I have been somewhat reluctant to write this review....I think I wanted to keep it secret ... But The Harbour Towers deserves the accolades so here goes...
If you wish to stay in Victoria and have the best location, service, view, and value... Harbour Towers is the Hotel!
Convenient to the inner harbour, Beacon Hill park, Parliament buildings and the BC Museum.. this hotel is the place to park your car and leave it for your stay.
Right from booking with a live person at their property who looked to see which room we were in last time ( which we loved ) and booked the exact room for us again BY NUMBER!... Secure Parking...Full Hot Breakfast Buffet ... Easy check in / out... Clean rooms ... free wi fi... Stunning Harbour views and very comfortable beds and pillows ... We cant wait to go back again.. we consider Harbour Towers our unofficial Victoria "time share "

So of COURSE we are thankful that you have decided NOT to keep your opinion to yourself and extremely appreciative of all the lovely accolades. You've even recognized that it is all our own Front Office associates who answer the telephone to make your reservation for you.
Your Victoria "time share" awaits!
Sincerely,

Where to begin...first the only up-side. The room was very large. We booked a one room bedroom suite, were placed on the third floor, and our view consisted of the roof of the hotel. Windows were new in the 1950's and looked like they hadn't been cleaned since. The TV got poor reception on almost every channel. There was no TV in the bedroom, and there was also no room service. Did I mention there was no air conditioning? We had to pry open the rusted windows to cool the room down. Tub didn't drain properly, toilet didn't flush properly. Carpet was ancient and dirty. For three hours, a dog in the room directly above us was barking non-stop. Hotel staff checked it out, and said it must be a dog out on the street. I told them to look again. Upon confirming the barking dog, they offered to move us and our sleeping daughter to another room at 9pm. Oh... and the best part was the sound of the fridge going on all night long and making the stove top directly above it rattle like a power tool. Worst $200 we ever spent! DO NOT check into this hotel. You have been warned. We will look much closer at reviews next time.

Room Tip: Book a different hotel.

I am so very sorry to read of this experience and on behalf of my entire Team do apologize. Indeed the suites on the lower floors cannot have the same awesome view as above the 7th floor but all the interior aspects of the room within our control certainly should not have been discovered by a guest.
I invite you to contact me directly so that I may have the opportunity to personally apologize.

I spent a night here recently and found it to be great value. The service was good, the room was clean and well appointed, the location couldn't be better and the price was right. We met friends for drinks in the bar downstairs and the server had a great sense of humour and gave us great service. All in all...a good experience.

We really appreciate reading all the positive comments about our service especially, and mentioning a Server in Vic's Lounge with a sense of humour - we do have that!
Excellent value is just what we seek to achieve ... so thanks!

I enjoyed my stay with Harbour Towers very much. My room was clean and well kept. The service was great from anyone I interacted with; housekeeping staff, front desk reception, maintenance personnel. The food we had for our conference was fantastic, it was like home cooked food. The lookout room has spectacular views and the hotel is conveniently close to the downtown in Victoria. So I had a good quiet location and it was an easy walk to see the sights. Good value for money.

Thank you VERY much for your 5-stars, especially as your stay was related to a conference that was not booked here by you! Our Lookout Room on the 12th floor overlooking the Inner Harbour does receive rave reviews and Chef Setso and his culinary team will be proud of your comments.
Come back again in the winter when you need any escape from Edmonton weather!

We stayed at this location for 5 nights. The room was clean quite and a good size for myself and 2 grown daughters. The pool was not in operation and we had to use the pool in another hotel which was great and not so great at the same time. The front desk was helpful and the proximity to the inner harbour was excellent. I set out for a morning run each day and was more then pleased with the routes I could take I do wish breakfast would have been included as it was to pricey to eat every morning there. But since we had a fridge and microwave we ate in our room.

Room Tip: ask for the fridge and microwave as they are not in everyroom

Pleased to read of your satisfaction with your stay - and 5 nights certainly make your comments valuable. Housekeeping is proud of the clean results of their efforts, and thanks. Apologies for the inconvenience experienced while our pool and hot tub were being resurfaced - but they're back in service and look great!
Hoping to welcome you back, suggest checking out availability of one of our 84 Suites, because in addition to the space and the kitchenette, Full Buffet Breakfast is included in the rate.

Great, easy to find location. Large rooms; our 2 bedroom suite was spacious! Living room, dining area, good sized kitchen, bathroom + powder room as well as 2 bedrooms. 7th floor water view and clean throughout. Good water pressure in shower, lots of towels and nice toiletries. Pleasant front desk, cleaning + restaurant staff. The free hot and cold buffet breakfast offered all that our family of 4 could ask. Particularly lovely scones + croissants. We'd always return when in Victoria.

Another 5-Stars and thanks for the wonderful Subject Line - we target guests looking for great value!
Housekeeping will be gratified to read that you found the 2-bedroom suite clean throughout - because with 1,092 sq.ft. to clean it can be challenging. I will share with Chef Setso and his team how you particularly appreciated the scones & croissants.
Hoping to welcome you back soon,

We had visitors from South Korea and wanted to be close to downtown Victoria so that is why we chose this hotel. I was even happier when we arrived to find that it was just a block or two from the Inner Harbour and the Museum. It was so close and yet it was so quiet and felt like it was far from the noise and the crowds.
We arrived and the person at the desk was on the phone and so had to wait a few minutes; because of this they gave us parking for free which was a nice surprise and very much appreciated.

The room was a nice size and had everything we needed. If I have one complaint it was that the fan for the bathroom was the noisiest fan I have ever heard. We could not have it on because we were afraid it would upset the neighbours.

We had the buffet breakfast and it was really good with great choice of items. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Room Tip: I would ask for a view but I think that the view is nothing to worry about because of the location t...

I am really pleased to read how happy you were with our great location, and will use your "so close and yet so quiet" statement.
I wish you had reported the bathroom fan, because Maintenance can take care of that ... sorry!
Counting on welcoming you back next time in Victoria!
