“Great Location”
Reviewed 28 March 2013

The inn at Laurel Point is a very good hotel in the city of Victoria, BC. I have stayed at this hotel about 5 times over the last 10 years and must say, the location is very hard to beat. This time my wife and I booked a Studio Suite King in the Erikson Wing and it was awesome. Very spacious and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge and nicely appointed including a large soaker tub for large enough for two. Our view was west facing looking over the ocean where we watched float planes land, boats coming in and out of the harbour including both the Coho and Clipper. We enjoyed a fantastic sunset from our fifth floor balcony that was perfectly protected from the wind and felt very warm for March (almost 20 degrees Celsius). Overall a very nice stay.

Room Tip: Erikson wing on one of the top floors with a west facing view of the harbour.

Amazing hotel right on the inner harbour in Victoria. Erickson Wing room had amazing king size bed, huge bathroom with soaker tub, semi private deck (dividers between rooms are only 4 ft high)

Great harbour view of Seattle ferry, float plans, yatchs. Staff were amazing and extremely attentive. Everything we asked for was provided for quickly and with a smile.

In room spa treatment (facial, pedicure and manicure) provided by outside firm, which can cause scheduling problems, but extremely worth it. Resturant ok, but much better food available mere minutes walk away. 10 minute walk to Parliament, 5 minutes to Fisherman's Wharf (where harbour seals eat right out of your hands) water taxi gets you into the heart of downtown in minutes (drops off next to Laurel Point). Can't say enough about hotel staff, truly amazing. Gardens and harbour seawall great place for a jog or romantic stroll.

Only drawback was the costs of parking and internet. Would rather have one inclusive price that covers everything than to be reaching for the internet everytime you want to check the internet. Also, pool is small and lacks hot tub.

A great place to get away for the weekend in Victoria. Will definitely go back.

Room Tip: Pay extra and stay in the Erickson wing. Worth every extra penny.

The hotel was small but beautiful. I have pretty high cleanliness standards so finding a hair left in the bathtub grossed me out. We were a large group of 11. Stunning view of the harbor on one side of the hotel

5 adults and 6 children and in spite of assuring us we could get rooms with connecting doors we were unable to get them for both nights. Otherwise they are pretty good. They had Treehouse which was great. Microwave and fridge was very useful. Internet was a tad slow but cant complain for it being free. Ample parking and very close by (1 min walk not even. ) Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again sans kids :)

2013 St Patricks Day weekend two nights at this place were not enough. I really don't like the traffic noise of a large city and am so glad we did not stay downtown Victoria. This hotel came as part of an upgraded package with Victoria Clipper Vacations. An occasional seagull and horn from a large cruise ship in the harbour was all I heard. Every thing was clean inside and out. The decor was simple and elegant and I enjoyed the sculpture. The conference and meeting rooms looked sophisticated but not overdone. Every angle of the hotel had a great view of the harbour. I parked the rental car on the street to avoid $15 parking fee Saturday night. The pool was warm but make sure the door to the outside path is not slightly open letting cool air in. No hot tub and towels are kept in changing room so I dripped back to my room before I asked about it.
I never went out into the gardens on the trail to Fisherman's Wharf and did not eat at the Aura restaurant or take advantage of the spa services but I guess I will have to come back. We stayed in the Laurel Wing. The view, the peace, the cleanliness, and the affordable price will lure me back. Did I mention the nice people who checked me in early (like 3 hours early). That was nice surprise.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in June 2011 as part of our trans Canada tour. The staff were very good and nothing was too much trouble. The pool and fitness area was small but adequate, managed to burn off a couple of pounds!!! The room was comfortable, but the decor was a little jaded. The hotel was beautifully situated on the bay with a perfect view of the seaplanes making their approaches and take offs from the water. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice for the hungry and not so hungry!!! Apart from the tired decor this hotel was very good.

Have stayed at the Inn three times now. Last visit was September of 2012. Weather was incredible. Sunny and about 75 F each day. Our room was right on the corner of hotel facing the harbor. Lots of sun. We got upgraded to this sunny because manager said the Canadiens didn't like so much sun. LOL. We had lots of windows and two balconies. Our rate included room and a breakfast for two which we had in our room. There were four of us including my 15 and 17 year old son and daughter. The breakfast was enough for all four. The Inn is easy walking distance to just about anything you would want to see in Victoria. And as Victoria is a walking town this was great. Only place we took a bus to was Butchart Gardens, and we caught the bus near the Empress Hotel, which was 4 blocks away. We did not try the restaurant other than the breakfast and that was terrific. We will go back for sure soon. Our fav times there are August and September

Room Tip: Facing the harbor or the Empress hotel are fabulous

We held a retirement party in the harbour room with a buffet diner for 24. The staff team were incredibly helpful setting it up, amending details, accommodating requests and working with me on the night. I really could not have asked for more.
The buffet diner was amazing with an incredible choice of hot and cold foods that accommodated all tastes and diets, including gluten/ grain free. The standard far exceeded any other such that all of the guests wanted to know who selected such a wide selection for one meal.
The waiting team couldn't have done more.
And the accommodation was spacious, refreshingly clean with great views of victoria harbour.
I was very impressed and would return without hesitation.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a suite
