“Loved this hotel”
Reviewed 3 September 2014

We stayed in the Erikson Wing in a suite. Convenient for center of town with great views over the harbour. A room you could happily spend the day in watching activity on the harbour. Very well equipped with a spacious balcony. Allso convenient fo the sea plane terminal.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening and found that to be good too. Service overall was excellent.
Sadlly we only stayed the one night on a tight schedule which was not enough.

Room Tip: We liked the Erikson Wing.

This is the perfect spot to stay in Victoria. there are excellent views of the harbour from your room and dining area, it is quiet even though it is only a short walk into town, and the rooms are large and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is reasonably priced and of excellent quality. We stayed in many places during our Canadian holiday, but this hotel was the best.

A great location and a convenient walk from the center of the activity but not in the middle of the activity. That suits us well.Watching the activity on the harbor is great. Walking the city is very convenient and quite lovely. I would consider returning to this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking harbor to watch the boats and float planes coming and going.

My wife and I had a great holiday stay and a fantastic breakfast! The valet wrote off our Acadia, but we got a nice, new Toyota. The hotel gave us our room for free, free breakfast and we get to stay there again free of charge.

Dear optimus913,
Oh dear! I did hear about that actually! Firstly, I am terribly sorry that we killed your car! Our Bell team are driving cars all day long and are driving everything from old jalopies to high end Bentleys and frankly I think this is the first time that this type of accident ever occured. In their defense, I believe that your car was handicap adapted and had the gas peddle and brakes installed in reverse order, yes? I know that our bellman was in complete shock when he, as he was parking the car, depressed the brake peddle to stop but instead the car motored forward. It is amazing how our driving habits become so instinctual at times.
All I can say, on behalf of everyone here at the Inn is, I offer you my most sincere apologies for this terrible accident. I am happy that no one was injured and I am happy that this was all sorted out and you now have a new Toyota. Eeeeesh!
Dispite all of this, I am told that you managed to enjoy the balance of your stay.
Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout.

Wishing you all the best for a wonderul autumn season.

Sincerely,

~Judy~

Had an opportunity to stay here for 2 nights recently as I was at a conference in Victoria. The highly sought after Empress was booked solid (hosting the conference) so I took a chance on HotWire and won this hotel. For comparison purposes, I did stay at the Empress for 1 night and then moved over to this hotel for nights 2 and 3. It is just around the wharf from the Empress and the harbour-view rooms face the Empress - making it beautiful both day and night. The hotel was clean and modern. The bonus is the excellent on-site restaurant, Aura. The patio facing the inner harbour is a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine or beer, a tasty appetizer (we had the cheese plate) and watch the pedestrians and boats go by. They do offer an airport shuttle (it services a number of hotels so it does travel a bit of a circuit). Downtown Victoria itself is not "near" the airport so no matter where you stay you are taking a 1/2 hour shuttle or taxi downtown. The entire facility is non-smoking. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a harbour-view room on the 3rd (or higher) floor. It is a low-rise hotel. Each room has a...

We visited Victoria for a quick weekend jaunt. We stayed at the Inn and enjoyed the hotel. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and courteous. The prices were very good for such a central location. The next time that we are in Victoria, this will definitely be at the top of our list.

We originally booked a condo, which showed a remodel studio condo but the outside of the building and the location we horrible. We spent 3 hrs trying to find another place to stay. The Inn at Laurel Point had a room. Kirsten at the front desk was wonderful. She made every effort to get us a room that night & for the rest of our stay. We had a king bedroom on the main floor with an outside patio, no furniture to sit on but still was able to get fresh air in the room. Bed was comfortable and room clean.

We did have do a happy hour at the Aura restaurant & sat outside which was beautiful. The cheese platter was excellent.

We were able to find another condo the next day which was much cheaper than the hotel. They were kind enough to cancel the rest of our nights there with no cancellation penalty.

Room Tip: I believe higher floors have balconies you can sit out on with a nice view of the water.

We really do have a wonderful front desk team who are always weilling to go that extra mile to ensure all of our guests are well taken care of.
