A wonderful old home about 20 minutes from downtown Victoria. Located in a nice neighborhood where we two women felt very safe taking our morning walk. The hosts were lovely and helpful, plenty of directions and ideas for places to dine etc. The breakfasts are delicious, varied, and creative. We stayed in the cozy Garden Room, apparently the only room without an in-room bath. We arrived late at night and found our key in an envelope at the front door. With no note about the location of the bathroom, we searched high and low for 20 minutes before trying our room key in one of the doors across the hallway. Luckily it was the bathroom and not another guest’s room! You are provided a fluffy robe to get from your room to bath. Note that you have 1-2 long sets of stairs to climb with your bags, depending on the floor you stay on.More
