This is a large pleasant park within easy walking distance of the city centre. Our entrance had an attractive plant border before you walk through a bit of a barren area to a smallish lake where there are plenty of seats and some attractive trees.
We also enjoyed the smallish rose garden and were amazed at the huge number of buds on all of the roses, coming towards the end of August. Being a cricket fan it was a joy to see the cricket ground with a really lovely pavilion.
We passed some really colourful and well maintained borders on our way out. Beacon Park is well worth a visit even if you only have a couple of days in Victoria.
