A very large parkland area stretching from just behind the Royal BC Museum to the coastline which offers views across to the American Olympic mountains.
Plenty of good level walking on offer.
The park houses the highest freestanding totem pole in Canada.

Lovely park with plenty going on and feels very safe. We stayed in accommodation where we used to walk through the park each day to downtown. Very enjoyable seeing peacocks and the herons nesting. Particularly liked seeing the Cricket pitch and the old pavilion. Saw deers also around the yard. Was also free live music at times .

If you can’t make it to Butchart Gardens, I recommend this park. It is a lovely place for a stroll, bike ride or playground fun.
