I've stayed here at least 5 times (if not more) and its always been top notch. The beds are ultra comfortable and spacious. The pool is huge, the weight room is top of the line equipment, and the theatre room is a nice extra. I haven't been to the spa however I was able to have a tour when they first opened. It looks to be a very good spa and maybe one of these days I will try it out.
The location of this hotel is basically a block behind the Empress Hotel therefore it is within walking distance of all downtown businesses. You can also walk to Beacon Hill Park although wear comfortable shoes b/c the park is quite large and after walking there from the hotel your feet may be sore. Lots of excellent places to eat downtown or grab take out. For take out try "Red Fish, Blue Fish", and for lunch try "Pagliacci's" and for breakfast try "Blue Fox". The only down side of this hotel is the charge for underground parking (which we never use) and the street parking is minimal with a time limit until 6pm.
FYI...Elton John stayed here recently while putting on a concert.More
