This did remind me of the spots along the Main in Montreal in the 70's offering steamed hot dogs, etc. Thing is; it was junk food/drunk food then and it still is. If you're looking for a trip down memory lane for this kind of food, they're pretty close with the hog dogs (although back then they were 50 cents apiece or less and here they're about $2. It was a long time ago). The fries were disappointing, nothing special at all. Can't speak to the poutine; I'm not a fan. The smoked meat sandwich is now longer available due to supply problems though they still have it at their Vancouver store.
If you're a fan of he food I'd say you'll be happy; otherwise it's just a diner.
