We decided to stay at the Oswego hotel due to its high rating and reviews. This was a short weekend trip as a small "babymoon" with our dog. On their website they seem to be very dog friendly and stated that they would provide bed, bowls, maps, organic dog treats and poop bags; unfortunately we only got the bed and bowl for some reason.
We stayed in a studio suite which was nicely decorated and came with a full kitchenette. The bed was a queen murphy bed which was extremely uncomfortable as in each spring could be felt through the mattress. The room had a portable air conditioner which was loud to sleep with at night (the room had no windows so having the air con on all day was our only option). So in general, the quality of sleep from the uncomfortable mattress and loud air conditioner was very poor. Also due to the portable air con which had to have a pipe out the window, the blinds could not be closed to the bottom, leaving a huge gap where the sun shone directly in our eyes because the window was right next to our bed. The room did not feel very clean since carpets were stained and the shower had quite a bit of mould in the grout. Since the carpets did not seem too clean, we requested for slippers but soon found out that it would be $5 for each pair of slippers (never ever had to pay for slippers at a 4 star hotel before so this came as a surprise)... Little was provided in the bathroom such as no shower caps and only one bar of soap to share between the sink and the shower so the soap had to be carried around. They do not have a mini bar. A very small TV is fixed to the wall with all wires showing was strange as well. There is free wifi in our room.
The hotel provided a satisfactory service. Basically no staff greeted us unless they were greeted first. Checking in and checking out staff were friendly but when we brought the dog out in the morning, with three available staffs at front desk, none of them greeted us. Restaurant staff were very friendly but the food was mediocre and overpriced for the quality; I ordered the rib and it was very dry.
Overall, the hotel to us felt over priced for the services and amenities they provided. Their website also overstates their standards but not meeting up to them. Most likely won't stay here again since there are better option available such as Westin and Delta around the area too.
