We stayed at the Oswego hotel for a week, the first week of December, in a suite on the 8th floor. We had views both South and East. The suite had a full kitchen with new appliances, sitting area with TV, separate bedroom with TV and windows on both the South and East. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds ever. The location was great to walk all over downtown Victoria, including Thrifty’s supermarket. Staff was friendly. If we return to Victoria will be staying at the Oswego.

Great hotel!
The room was amazing... We slept so well, the place was spotless, had the best water pressure of any hotel I've ever stayed in, great location in walking distance to everything downtown & touristy and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Highly highly recommend it !!!

Thank you! Very appreciate you taking the time to complete an online review about your positive stay with us. Your comments I will pass onto the Oswego team.

The hotels location is on the quieter side of the inner harbor but close enough to the amenities and attractions. Lots of our guests enjoy being close to everything and yet a short walk to the ocean also.

Come back and stay with us again soon.

This was a great surprise! We were looking for a pet friendly hotel and found this one... Welcoming and helpful staff. We had a one bedroom suite which felt and looked more like a home rather than a hotel room, a very nice change! Very clean and modern look (appliances, fixtures etc) throughout. Very pet friendly and well worth what we paid, which was far less than what most of the other hotels in the area were charging for a similar room. We will indeed stay there again!

We stayed at the Oswego from Dec 6th-8th. My wife was in Victoria for work, so the whole family tagged along. Upon check in, we were instantly upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite (Thank You). The staff was very nice, especially to our 10 month old puppy....Did I mention their pet friendly? The bistro was closed the first night due to a private function, but room service was still available. The food was great, & service was prompt. Even thought they were busy with the private affair. If your going to Victoria on work or business, stay here. It's very nice & quiet.......

Your positive comments we will share with the team and appreciate you taking the time to complete a review about us.

We do appeal to our business guests and also lots of our guests like yourself travel on leisure. Our location is unmatched being on the quieter side of the inner harbor and close to all of the main attractions and restaurants but also close enough to walk to the ocean.

We recognize that many guests travel with their pets and we do welcome their four legged friends to stay with us. We have designated pet friendly rooms and again our location is ideal for quick or long walks.

We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to stay with us again soon.

Thank you!

I stayed at the Oswego for one week in November on business. My first experience was a helpful front desk staff and help bringing my loads of luggage to my room. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. I felt like I had moved into my own place for the week! The floor to ceiling windows were a welcome site during the day. The room was bright and cheery. The kitchen had all new appliances and I was able to make most meals there which saved $$ and I didn't get sick of restaurant food. I only visited the bistro a few times, but the chicken and Brie sandwich was delicious. The location of the hotel was perfect- close to everything yet off the Main Street so nice and quiet. I cannot say enough about the staff at the hotel and all of the effort they made to make my experience excellent. I would recommend this for business (the boardroom was also awesome) and also for couples or families. Don't bother with the big chain hotels, this boutique hotel is a much better choice.

the hotel overall is very nice, check in was efficient and the clerk pleasant. The room had very nice décor and amenities. The carpets however were very dirty and had spots everywhere. The bathroom had a musty smell all tho it was clean. Towels were thick and spotless as were the robes. Kitchen was beautifully done, all modern with a dishwasher. I would stay here again.
The restaurant was over priced, $4.00 for 2 strips of bacon, for what you got. would not eat there again.

Thank you for staying with us and also for taking the time to post an online review.

Our apologies that you encountered some issues with your suite. Carpet cleaning is ongoing throughout the hotel year round. We are also in the middle of our winter deep cleaning, continual carpet cleaning and refreshing of all of the suites is occurring at this time.

All of our hotel guests receive 20% discount when dining in the bistro. We continually listen to our guests and how we can improve. I will discuss your points with our chef to give him further feedback.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Oswego in the not to distant future.

We had a recent stay three night at the Oswego Hotel in Victoria BC. We usually stay right near the downtown core, closer to Government Street. This time we wanted somewhere a little quiter and chose the Oswego, which is closer to the Black Ball ferry terminal and the Laurel Point Inn. We had a room with a Queen Bed in a separate room and a pull out sofa for our daighter. There was a full kitchen, separate shower and bath and two TVs. The room was clean, modern and very nice. The stay was in all respects excellent. The only complaint, if any, was that we were on the second floor of this 10 floor hotel over the front entranceway and there was some light that came in from the signage. However that was still minimal.

We didn't try the restaurant or bar but they looked nice. I tried the weight room. All hotel weight rooms are cramped but this machinery was fine and new.

Ther is underground parking.

I suggest a walk to Ogden Point Pier or a visit to the James Bay area as an alternative to heading downtown.
