We were really impressed by the service of the Oswego hotel that you typically get in a 5 star hotel.
The rooms are very large and we enjoyed the great windows, also in the bathroom.
It felt like being in a chique apartment and we were happy to go back in the evening.
The walk to the centre is nice and not too far.
We truly recommend this hotel!

I have stayed at Oswego twice for business. Both times, I was in a one-bedroom suite with updated décor. The kitchen is fully with plates and utensils. The bathroom is also nicely updated with a separate tub and shower. Free WiFi. There is a nice restaurant downstairs with modern menu items. The location is close to all the attractions, but a bit further away from the noise around Empress Hotel. This is a great hotel for families and business travelers.

We appreciate all of our guests but we really appreciate our many repeat guests. Thank you for being one of them.

Yes the hotel is located on the quieter side of the inner harbour and close to everything in the inner harbour but also very close to the ocean and Fishermans Wharf.

We are so pleased that you enjoy the hotel and the service during your visits. We look forward to welcoming you back to stay with us again in the very near future.

Hope you enjoy the remainder of the summer

I'll admit that I spent a few hours looking for something less expensive (I aim for a more modest suite so more coin for other things), but I left the booking too late. I was travelling with my spouse and 2 adult children (who don't sleep in the same bed) and a black lab, and wanted 4 nights in a kitchen suite with 3 beds close to downtown. A 2-bedroom suite at the Oswego was the only choice for 2 of the 4 days I wanted.

I called the morning of arrival and they were happy to accommodate an early check-in. We were ready for a hot shower and meal when we arrived at the Oswego after camping at China Beach. And from the first greeting to the last, the staff were fantastic; friendly and attentive. They and the room provided everything we needed.

Very clean, bright, nicely appointed, 2 bedrooms (with white linens, ample closets and comfortable beds), 2 very nice bathrooms, full kitchen (with French press for coffee), sofa bed in the living room, dining table for 4, and lots of windows. There were chocolates for the humans, and cookies, a bed and food/water dishes for the dog.

I did not expect that the 2-bedroom suite I booked (room 1004) was a penthouse, so nice surprise with a large west-facing rooftop patio, and a smaller south tree-facing patio. Great view to the west overlooking rooftops to the harbour entrance, where we enjoyed morning coffee, but heads-up that there's no shade on the patio in the afternoon so can be rather warm on sunny summer days like we had. But then, out on the patio again in the cooler evening to watch the sunset with an aperitif. Ahh.

We had a toilet malfunction at 10 pm, which was professionally and effectively repaired and cleaned up in 20 minutes by the maintenance guy who was to be off-shift at 10:30. Outstanding. Thanks again maintenance guy!

This room is suited for 2 singles, 2 couples or family with children who can share a bed or don't mind a not-so-comfortable sofa bed (what sofa bed is?). Would be great for entertaining guests. While it feels roomy and the kitchen, bathrooms, dining area and bedrooms are good sizes, the living room is a bit small and consumed by the open sofa bed.

We did not do room service, but managed to cook a good meal, and had a good breakfast in the bistro.

Note that clearance for the underground parking is only 6'6" so the canopy on my truck meant a creative parking solution (along the wall of the parkade entrance). And there is no AC, but open windows and ceiling fans cool the rooms with ocean breezes in the evenings.

After check-out, we checked-in to the Travelodge for the next 2 days, because the Oswego, and everywhere else that was pet-friendly, was full for those days. Too bad. I would have happily paid the price to stay at the Oswego.

Thank you for choosing us! We are glad we didn't disappoint and exceeded your expectations. Our guests having an amazing stay with us is very very important to us.

Our Penthouse suites have breathtaking views and large patios - 1004 secretly is my favourite with views of the cruise ships coming in and also views of the inner harbour and the float planes and boats. The large windows also allow for amazing light and views from all windows.

Very pleased that Joseph, our Houseman fixed your toilet issue. Joseph is a wonderful employee with us and truly cares for our guests.

All of our staff all played a part in ensuring your stay with us was an amazing experience and I will pass on your positive comments

Thank you!

We - family of three - spent our final night of a week-long holiday on Vancouver Island here at the Oswego Hotel. What a lovely way to cap off the week. We had a one-bedroom suite with kitchen and living room (with fold-out sofabed). Clean, crisp and the night-time view from the 7th floors was gorgeous. Lovely bathrobes, chocolates on the turned down bed, carafes of minted water on the night stands. We opted for a leisurely breakfast delivered by room service in the AM and that was a relaxing way to ease into the day of sightseeing before getting the ferry to the states. Service upon check-in and check-out was so helpful and friendly; we felt welcome and well looked after. Sometimes it's hard to pick a hotel simply by reading reviews -- but you can't go wrong with the Oswego. Just lovely.

Room Tip: If you do want less noise from street level, request an upper floor for your room. And enjoy the vie...

My wife booked this hotel last minute and it was a great choice. Our room was very nice with a kitchenette (mini refer, built in microwave. Smooth top range, and mini dishwasher) Bed was super comfortable with very nice pillows. Really nice bathroom with separate shower and tub. One thing that was really nice is room had a portable AC as it was pretty warm when we were here. They also haveNightly turn down service. I would stay here again.

Thank you for staying with us.

Yes some of our smaller studio suites do have portable ac units that we remove in the winter months. Due to the climate in Victoria, ac isn't normally required. Each of our suites have ceiling fans and doors and windows that open.

I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us in every aspect of service and amenities.

We hope that you come back and stay with us again soon.

We found ourselves needing a hotel for one night while on business in Victoria. It also happened to be the weekend of the Dragon boat races, thankfully there was space available at the Oswego hotel. The room was well appointed. Upon entering they had turned some lights on and had gentle music playing from the CD player. They had also turned down the bed with chocolates on the pillow and minted water on each nightstand. I found it to be extremely clean, and I am particular when it comes to that sort of thing. I do wish that they had provided a few more towels. The room has a full kitchen, large fridge and dishwasher. I liked that they provided a french press for coffee and not the usual Keurig style brewer. We found the location to be very convenient to the harbor front. The restaurant was quite reasonable and the food was served hot and quickly. Although with the location to the harbor finding food nearby wouldn't be a problem. They do charge $15 per night for parking, but it is underground and secure. We find ourselves in Victoria often for business and will likely return to the hotel. The staff is friendly and professional.

Thank you for your review and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to stay with us again soon.

We were completely sold out for the Dragonboating weekend so I am pleased that you got one of our last available rooms.

Our location is central yet on the quieter side of the inner harbour and a short walk to any attraction.

Enjoy the rest of your summer.
