We recently stayed at the Ashcroft B&B and we had a wonderful experience there! Our hosts Paulanne and David were very welcoming and they have created a beautiful and relaxing B&B.

We stayed in the Orchid Suite for two nights. When Paulanne first showed us our room, we were most impressed with the spacious bathroom. It had a comfortable two person soaker tub and a shower. The colours of the room had an old, but also modern feel to it. The Orchid Suite also had a good sized kitchenette which was nice to have. We didn't use it much during our stay, but it would be very handy to have if you were to stay for a longer period of time.

Our hosts were very accomodating and we really appreciated the little details they took to, in helping us enjoy our stay there. They recommended a great place called Ferris' Oyster Bar & Grill for dinner, which was perfect! We tried the upstairs part of the restaurant as the downstairs was full, but it was exactly the kind of place we were looking for =)

I had read some reviews about this b&b before booking it, and had heard about the delicious breakfasts they served. The reviews were totally right and we had amazing breakfasts on both mornings! Paulanne's baking was incredible Her scones were my favourite =) You definitely won't be hungry till about dinner time, after having one of these breakfasts!

This B&B is definitely a place to check out =)

I have just returned from a week in Ashcroft House, what a great experience it was. I felt like I was at home Paulanne and David made me so welcome the breakfast was wonderful and so filling I could never manger lunch. I was in the Wedgewood room and it was perfect from the wonderful large bed to the robes and slippers provided. If I ever go back to Victoria I will make Ashcroft House my home again.

What a privilege to stay at the Ashcroft House, and an even greater privilege to be served by Paulanne and her sumptuous four-course breakfasts! This B&B is very beautiful, warm, inviting, and radiates with so much positive energy. Our bed in the Sheldon room was so comfortable and cozy, we ended up sleeping 10 hours on our first night! We were so refreshed and rejuvenated the next day, we decided to walk from Ashcroft to Craigdarroh Castle which took us about an hour. Then from the Castle, we strolled to Chinatown and stopped at the shops on Fort St. and continued on to Inner Harbor where we had dinner. When we returned to the house at night, it was so nice to plop down on the oversized leather sofas and relax in the living room. We have stayed in nice B&B's before, and Ashcroft is the best!

We only had one night to stay in Victoria as we were traveling back to the US, so I really searched our options before I selected a place to stay. I am fond of the Heritage Homes in Canada and chose the Ashcroft House. What a fantastic experience! We arrived with a warm welcome by Pauline, our host. The room is beautiful (check out the Wedgwood room) and comfortable. We had to leave early the next day to catch the ferry and Pauline prepared a "breakfast to go" that could have fed 4 people! Yummy scones, fruit salad and yogurt. When we return to Victoria - for a longer stay - we will return here.

will be back on our next visit!

Very friendly & welcoming hosts, Paulanne & Dave. Comfy & clean Cotswold rm with a shower.

Seriously, don't fill up on the cereal, fresh fruit & baking as there is generous portion of the hot plate item. Leftover bake items good for afternoon snacks you can take along with you. Much appreciated for all the efforts for making gluten free breakfasts!

Just a quick walk to the nearby beach & walking trail, Beacon diner offers milkshakes to icecr. til 11pm on thurs/fri & 15min.stroll to downtown. A hidden gem in this quiet neighbourhood. Strongly recommend the Ashcroft House B&B!

Took Paulanne's suggestion to check out the 360 degrees view at Mt. Douglas. Loved the scenic drive along Beach Drive & got a chance to check out English Oak Bay shops, the Swan Lake Bird Nature centre & Willow Beach.

Ashcroft House is a comfortable, spotlessly clean B&B in a great location, close to downtown Victoria with all its attractions (about a 10 minute walk ) yet tucked away in a quiet neighborhood ( parking on the street ). We stayed three nights in the very cozy Cotswold room and enjoyed it immensely. Paulanne and Dave are warm, friendly hosts who will answer any question about the area and cook up a breakfast that stays with you all day - seriously. Cereal, freshly baked goods ( those vanilla scones! ) which, if not finished, they'll bag up to take along and have later, fresh fruit, and a hot cooked plate. We never got around to having the famous afternoon tea at the Empress because we never got hungry during the day!
