Just moved into the Victoria Airport. Same good beer and food. Nice addition to airport. If you like trying new craft beer from their own brewery this is it. Staff is very good and explains about their beer. Try their sampler beer rack. Food is good and nice spot to wait for plane. Try it you will love this place. Also try the downtown location too. Pick up some beer from home.

...that matters. I was expecting a restaurant by the sea, to have above average sea food - its good, but not outstanding. I visit Victoria at least twice a year and this is a stop I always make ( hotel location). The food is good, sometimes not as good as it could be but for a pub, adequate. Local items help in the variety but don't stray from what you know to 'get trendy'.
Keeping in mind that it is a pub, you will get a lot of activity and conversation. Comfy for the most part, but if its busy it can get bothersome. ( bumped and nudged by servers ) Wine selection is limited considering what BC wines can offer. Beer unfortunately was flat, but corrected.
I will likely keep coming back, most because of the location and convenience. And likely, order the halibut sandwich, with fries. Because, thats what works.

My brother and I ordered the halibut and chips. The halibut was awful, overcooked and very dry. The french fries were okay. My other brother and my husband ordered their special beer, and they said it had a horrible aftertaste. There are so many good restaurants in Victoria, don't waste your time at this one.

This was our first stop on the English Pub tour. Oh what a treat. The food is tasty and made from only locally grown ingredients. The ale is outstanding. They have a lovely view of the bay and the bartender was great!!!! You have got to go there!

We went only for the beer, got the bread sampler and some fries which were both pretty good. The beer was really good also, and we stopped at the entrance and got a bag of assorted truffles, which is an absolute must-do!! Only complaint was that the service was TERRIBLE, which is made even worse by the fact that we joked with the waitress that we were afraid we would get forgotten about, given where we sat on the deck. Well......turns out that after we ordered our second round of beer we WERE forgotten. We waited 20 minutes to get the check, and then another 15 to pay before walking inside to pay the bartender. I don't think it is the restaurant though, just our waitress, as everyone else seemed not to have an issue. If we ever make it back to Victoria, going back is a must for no other reason than the beer and truffles!
