“Should have spent more time here”
Reviewed 3 October 2010

We were torn as to if we should spend part of our time in Vancouver visiting Victoria. In the end, we should have spent more than one day here. We had more fun here and didn't get to do all that we wanted in 8 hours. We did the whale watching on the faster zodiac boat and that was GREAT. The ride out was a lot of fun and we did see about 8 whales. This takes up about 3 hrs but is worth it. If you like gardens, I would take the tour that combines a visit to the gardens and the whale watching.

Although expensive, about $300 each, we took the float plane over from Vancouver so that we didn't have to spend so much time getting to Vicoria. We were glad we did since we weren't spending the night here.

The shopping here was fun too. They have a nice variety of locally owned stores.

“excellent whale watch company in victoria”
Reviewed 15 September 2010

Eaglewing Tours is hands down the best whale co in Victoria, I have gone on their boat now a few times and this last trip was off the charts.Captains Brett and Jeff were their usual warm, personable selves.Their good natures and joy infectious. We saw so many orcas. humpbacks, sea lions etc etc. even the marine mammals seemed to change course just to be near our boat. The trip is longer than the other Victoria companies, and I felt it was worth far more than the price asked, Go check out the eaglewing staff, your day will feel much brighter, I was quite impressed, even the office staff is kind and wonderful. susan

“Whale Watching”

We went with Surfin Safaris and thought they provided an excellent trip. Apart from Orcas we also saw a grey whale.

The whole experience was fantastic.

One of the best kept secrets in Victoria, worth your while to check out De'lish for their tasty soups and sandwiches, and a lemon tart or other baked delight for desert! Love this place!

“Great Clean City”
Reviewed 4 September 2010

We recently stopped at Victoria, British Columbia on a cruise from Seattle to the Alaskan Inside Passage. We were really surprised how clean and beautiful the city was. Very tourist friendly with signed walkways from port along coast to center of town. Lots of flowers everywhere, cute little seaport village and a great downtown waterfront. Had street entertainers, small booths with things for sale, underwater harbor view with show, lots of bars and restaurants. I was pleased how clean and graffiti free everything was. Nice place to visit.
