We stayed here recently during the week. We don't even golf - just wanted to get away somewhere and hang out for a few days. What a great place to do it! We had a one bedroom suite on the top floor of one of the lodges - overlooking the putting green and driving range and to the hills beyond. It was so quiet and peaceful - nohing but the sound of frogs at night! The suite is spacious and new. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to do a bit of cooking. Our bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub and a large glass shower. If you don't want to cook, there is a coffee shop with lattes, breakfast and lunch stuff. The meals in the clubhouse are very good - some of the best food of our trip. We liked our room so much we ordered out from the club house to eat in our suite. When you do want to venture out of your suite, the fitness centre has a large pool and all the workout equipment you need. There are also great hiking trails around the property - and I do mean hiking, not just flat strolls around the greens. If you do want to go out and do stuff, Kelowna is less than a half hour away. There is free internet access on the first floor if you need to check your e-mail. The staff were friendly and helpful, though not always completely informed about the property. We had originally considered staying in Kelowna but found the prices very high for what you get. We were looking for something high end and you would pay at least double for the same quality of accommodation in Kelowna as at Predator Ridge. We loved staying here and really hated to leave for the rest of our holiday. Nothing compared to this property and will definitely go back. Our only complaint is that the beds were quite hard. Unfortunately this is a problem at many properties. Maybe they could put mattress pads on top of the mattresses or at least make them available...
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- It's special here. You notice that the minute you step onto any of our 36 tee boxes. Predator Ridge Resort was created with a great reverence for its spectacular natural setting, knowing it would call out to those who wished to escape the ordinary. Located in the sunny Okanagan Valley, Predator Ridge is the place to indulge your lifelong passion for golf or to begin a new love affair with the sport. Our golf courses are a natural extension of the historic and communal grasslands known as the Commonage and are sculpted in harmony with the ancient mountains and crystal blue lakes that carved out this playground a millennia ago. But Predator Ridge is much more than a golf resort. It's one of Canada's top resort communities offering homeowners and resort guests the best of the Okanagan lifestyle - fine dining, a state-of-the-art fitness centre (with 25m lap pool), over 25kms of biking, hiking & walking trails, a general store, access to one of North America's best spas and more. Our backyard is home to some of Canada's most celebrated wineries (often referred to as "Napa of the North") to magnificent lakes to champagne powder-covered ski resorts, all within a short drive. It's hard not to get a taste for the good life when the good life surrounds you. Play for a weekend, stay for a lifetime. Predator Ridge is the natural way to escape from it all. ... more less
