Owner description: Polson Park is located near the heart of Vernon, adjacent to Highway 97 and Highway 6. The park was established in 1908 when Samuel Polson donated a large parcel of land to the city. Located in the park is the Lawn Bowling Club, the Interior Space and Science Centre, the Arts Council and Vernon Heritage Hall.Polson Park is probably best known for the Floral Clock that was installed in 1958. The date is changed daily and it provides a great photo with its colourful background. Further into the park you will find the Japanese Garden, which was donated by the Japanese Community and the Chinese Pagoda, which was donated by the Chinese Community. Both were constructed in 1967 as Centennial Projects. The Rose Garden, a perennial favorite and also a Centennial project, is located in the south east of the park. Specific areas of the park can be reserved for your special event such as weddings, social gatherings and concerts.

park was very clean bathrooms were very clean, very very nice park to keep the kids entertained can go to the water park area for kids to run through or park for kids to play at, sit outside and relax great area for taking pics of the family! only thing that worried me is the creek make sure you keep your little kids close and nowhere near that cause thats some pretty fast water, we would defiantly be going there again!

The Art Gallery and Science Center are nice to have in the park, but there is often a lot of homeless drunk guys and people peddling drugs in this park.... Can be a scetchy place some times.

if you are bored in the summer and want to kill some time this is a beautiful place to do so. I have always enjoyed the park there.

Nice place to tour with the family. Kids have fun on the play constructor and there is plenty to see. There is oviously problems however with the homeless people using the one end of the park as a shelter and does cause some concern.

This park has really gone down hill. The number of homeless and drugged up people wandering through the park makes this place a place to avoid. Do not let your young children out of your sight here.
