Owner description: Whistler Olympic Park has a history of glory and gold. One-third of all medals at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games were awarded at the venue. Today, it remains an active centre for world-class competitors while preserving the winter legacy for the enjoyment of the Sea to Sky community and visitors. Whistler Olympic Park will be open for the WINTER season 2017/2018 on November 23, 2017 (season will end April 2, 2018). In addition to exploring 130 kilometers of picturesque cross-country ski and snowshoe trails, we offer snow play activities such as biathlon, tobogganing and fat biking. Whistler Olympic Park will be open again for SUMMER from June until September 2018. Summer activities include Summer Biathlon, Electric Assist Fat Bike Rentals and Olympic Sightseeing!

We were going to whistler and decided that it was essential to pop over to the Olympic park. We went there towards the end of the summer so there was no snow but it was nice to see the ski jump, shooting range and the end of the cross-country course. Entry was $10 for two of us which is reasonable.

Not going to take your breath away in the summer but definitely worth a visit.

interesting to see the ski jump and the shooting range (where you could have a go for a fee), but $10 was a bit steep for what was essentially a quick drive up and down - if you were hiking for day, then probably worth it

Entrance is $10 and you can see the ski jumps used for the Olympic of 2010. But the best happens if you keep driving further into the park where you can actually shoot a .22 riffle on the targets used for the biathlon during the Olympics. Yes you get to shoot the gun under supervision. $10 for 5 bullets and then $5 for any additional magazine of 5 bullets. No experience required, Wayne will walk you through operating the gun and assist you all along. It is safe, secure and just pure awesome. A definite must do!!!

What's not to like? Inclusive park for all abilities; concert area (and the free concert on Labour Day Saturday was fun!), various places to eat, all cloaked with the beatiful back drop of Whistler Mountain...amazing!

One of the many interests Whistler has to offer is their Peak2Peak attraction. Although Whistler is most known for their winter season, the place has evolved as a year round attraction. They host different international events, as evidenced by Mountain Bike competiion when we were there. What struck us most is the awesome and most amazing sceneries of the two mountains, Blackcomb and Whistler, above the gondola traversing these beautiful ski areas. Restaurants on both mountain tops, clean restrooms and very helpful personnel all add to the scintillating experience. Beautiful lakes and Glaciers are within reach and the freshness of the air is so invigorating, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We took the Rocky Mountaineer train, which by itself, is clearly the best mode of transportation going to Whistler, B.C as you are fascinated by the natural beauty of the region. This is one place that every one must go and see for yourself what we, celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, have added to a wonderful, fascinating and unforgettable memory.
