“Everything you need!”
Reviewed 9 August 2011

Quiet hotel in Creekside has everything you need. Whistler village is about 10 minutes away, but Creekside has a grocery store, Starbucks, Boston Pizza, and Subway across the street.

Our one bedroom had comfy bed with crisp clean white linens and fold out couch in living area with a gas fireplace. Balcony was a nice size with a table and 2 chairs, but it would have been nice to have 2 more for the kids. There were two tvs and a dvd player.

Bathroom was spotlessly clean, with a soaker tub and rain head shower. Towels were replaced daily and separate pool towels were provided. The room had a washer and dryer with detergent provided as was the detergent for the dishwasher. The kitchen was well stocked and dishes were clean and well organized upon arrival.

Evolution also has a games room, pool, 2 hot tubs, steam room, sauna, movie room. The movie room only had adult movies, which disappointed the kids, but the pool kept them busy for hours. The hotel was always clean and grounds and pool were well maintained.

Our only complaint was that many of the guests had dogs and we were not aware that the hotel allowed pets. My son has pretty severe allergies to dogs and when getting out of the elevator, my kids were often greeted by a large dog staring them in the face. This is not the hotels problem, but more the owners who need to be more courteous.

Stayed here for 2 nights in March 2011. Hotel was at an ideal location - right at the base of Creekside lift where you could put on your skis and walk right over to the base of the mountain. It is in a quieter part of Whistler - about 10 minutes away from the village yet there are still a few restaurants around the hotel. Our room was beautiful! Very modern, and had a really cool fireplace which was placed so that it could be seen from the bedroom as well as the living room. The bathroom floors were also heated which was a nice touch. There is a nice hot whirlpool area at the back of the hotel for after a long ski day. If you want a relaxing romantic place to stay with convenient access to the ski lifts this hotel is for you!

Just returned from another great long weekend at Evolution. Staying in a two bedroom with another couple. Booked very early and got the top floor facing the pool/mountains as was requested. Beds are comfy and bathrooms are very large and clean. Carpet in main area is starting to get worn and a bit grungy looking but otherwise no complaints. Will be back. Great value in the summer.

Our last visit to Evolution was in May 2011, however we have stayed on many occasions, all seasons, at this property. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained. Everything is close by and within walking distance...groceries, liquor store, restaurants. We are quite happy hanging out in Creekside rather than just the Village, and I am sure othres would enjoy as much as we have

This is a self catering hotel. With that being said, there are three properties next to eachother. This is the only one that allows dogs. We were booked in one of the properties that doesn't allow dogs, and they quickly got us in the other without any hassel. A bellman promptly met us in the parking lot to carry in bags. They brought up two highchairs and cribs within mins. of our arrival, along with a dog bed, treats and bowls, and baggies. I forgot my toothbrush and toothpaste, they delivered two within mins of my call.

For self catering the staff is on the ball.

Pros:
great size/ layout (we had a two bedroom)
staff are nice
across the street is a grocery store, restaurants, Starbucks
quiet (10 min drive from Whistler village)
Great place for kids/ pets
Easy access from parking lot to room
Make Self catering Easy - with all the trolleys left on P2 for when your ready to leave
Lots of TV Channels
Great Large Kitchen- , Dishwasher, Washer/ Dryer (Includes the detergents too :)

Cons:
Decor - This is going to be one of those places where they say in 10 years "What were we thinking?" - Brown, Orange & Tan
Location - out of the way if you want to be in the mix of things
Have to buy Internet connection - Which was extremely slow and unreliable
No airconditioning
No Movie Rental option
Toiletries are really fruity so your place smells like the body shop
No drawers! - How could they not put drawers?

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room! Beautiful Large Patio

Thank you for your review and for choosing to stay with Evolution!

In regards to the list of cons you mentioned, I thought I should just clarify a couple items, so that the next time you stay, we can make your experience more enjoyable. Regarding the internet, we do provide complimentary wireless internet, so please feel free to contact guest services next time you're staying with us and we'll ensure you are connected properly to our complimentary service. As for air conditioning, there is AC in all rooms, so this is also something we can have a team member assist you with should you have any troubles with AC in your suite next time. Lastly, although we do no have the option for movie rentals in suite, we do offer two nightly movie viewings in our media room off the lobby. The earlier viewing is usally best suited for families.

We look forward to an opportunity of welcoming you back and ensuring we take care of any of the cons we can upon your next stay.

My family and I stayed for one night at their 2 bedroom Suite and it was fantastic! We were very impressed with the layout, the furniture, the appliances, the tub etc they offer. The suite was in perfect condition and the size was more than enough for 6 of us. We used their kitchen for a gourmet dinner and it was fun and comfortable. We also appreciate the service they provided. All of their staff were very friendly and helpful. You do not check in at Evolution but at the Legend Hotel next door. It was easy, efficient and relaxing. We also used their pool, hot tub, steam, sauna and the gym. All were well equipped and we have no complaint at all. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone I know. Will definitely go back again.

We stayed at Evolution at Whistler Creek side and was very happy with our accomodations. Recently updated with S/S Miele appliances, our 1 bedroom was perfect for our family of 4. Creek side is quiet which is nice. Only a short drive to the main village. The kids loved the pool which also had 2 hot tubs. A game room with a media room was a nice touch. Great value being it is located in Creek side. Would stay again.
