Skiers and riders have the opportunity to easily take advantage of 8,171 acres of terrain via the world's longest continuous lift system. The adventure for summer visitors includes spectacular views of glaciers and peaks as well as access to an expanded hiking trail network on both mountains.

The Tourists love it, especially the glass bottom which after spending a season in whistler never actually rode. All I know is it takes 17.5 minutes out of my riding time! It is a beautiful view on a clear day. And the mechanical concept of it is rather astounding to marvel at. You can also see the tiny dam on the creek that powers things on the Mts (pretty nifty eco concept.) However like anywhere else. You stop realizing how pretty it is when you ride it all the time

When in Whistler this should be one of the first things you do. The views will leaving you gobsmacked! I was lucky enough to go on it in summer and winter and there both as good as each other to go on it. Upload via the Whistler gondola if you don't want to go on a chair lift other wise via the Wizard chair over at Blackcomb is the go.

We were in Whistler in August 2013. We did Peak 2 Peak because it was highly recommended. We were disappointed. You are entirely enclosed in the Gondola. The line to get on is very long. We waited for the glass bottomed Gondola. The view is nice but not any nicer than then the Gondola that you take from the bottom of the mountain to reach Peak 2 Peak. If you want a spectacular view and have some excitement take one of the chair lifts (not a Gondola). Now that's exciting.

Make sure you pick one of the cars with the transparent floor! It is a long way up the mountain to even get to this gondola, but the views are sooo worth it. This was Thanksgiving wknd in Canada, the last few days of service before a break leading up to ski season at the end of November, so no snow aside from a couple of glaciers in the far distance. Sparkling glimpses of lakes and rivers far below, peak after peak the whole way around the 360 view. Just magnificent, with a kind of a European feel to it. Almost made me want to yodel.
