“Family vacation”
Reviewed 11 August 2012

We had a family vacation planned for this hotel and were very happy. The service was great ... the one minor problem we had they resolved quickly. The rooms were on the smaller side but similar in size to other Whistler hotels. The kitchen was great to have especially with a family and younger kids. The location of the hotel in the village was excellent ... next to the Blackcomb base. The pool was nice and overlooked the mountains. Would definitely recommend.

This was a great place, even in summer, and even though I am not a skier, we would love to go back in the winter. Its location in the village and by the lifts was perfect for sightseeing and hiking in the mountains and shopping and dining in the village. The studio was great for two of us and could accomodate four. The murphy bed was surprisingly comfortable and the small balcony and fireplace were great.

Our second time staying at this hotel. Ideal for families. Spacious suite with well equipped kitchen. Swimming pool/laundry. Although we didn't have one, there are also balcony rooms which look out onto the mountains. Excellent central location.

This was my second stay at this Pan Pacific hotel. I have stayed at the Pan Pacific Whistler Village as well, which tends to be a bit more pricey. Both hotels are located fairly close to each other, right in the village.

The check in process was fairly smooth. The lobby is small but you don't really spend any time there. We did have an initial issue. Although we had booked a king bed, we were given a "handicap accessible" room with a queen bed. When I called the front desk to request that we be provided with the room that we had booked (for various reasons), I was advised that the hotel was at capacity and they couldn't do anything for us - that's it. That was a disappointing answer from staff at a Pan Pacific hotel. I raised the issue again at check out and the clerk at that time kindly provided us with a small restaurant credit... at least it was something.

Other than the above wrinkle, we had a fairly good stay. The room was a one bed room suite and fairly spacious. There was a full kitchen set up, which we didn't use. The bed was comfortable and the view was decent. The bathroom had a tub only (no separate shower which would have been nice) with Aveda products.

The pool was not that big and was filled with young screaming kids. But I doubt you will find any hotel in Whistler where you can avoid that. The gym was a bit small but had basic cardio equipment.

Service (other than the above experience) was fairly good. I would stay at this hotel again despite issue with the room.

I can't say enough positive things about our stay at this hotel. Maid Service was excellent, nice kitchen facilities and the location of the hotel is perfect for convenience and access to all possibilities. The free ride to Rainbow Park is an example of the length the hotel goes to in order to assist their guests in whatever way they can. Thank you Pan Pacific!

Overall, my boyfriend and I had a wonderful 6 night stay in this hotel. We used the kitchen a lot and we found the front desk to be extremely helpful. They helped us to book all of our activities, shuttled us around town when necessary, and were always able to give us great advice. We also enjoyed dining in the Dubh lin gate and we thought the lobby was beautifully decorated. Another great feature of this hotel was the swimming pool and hot tubs over looking the mountain. The view is spectacular and we loved watching the bikers in the bike park.

Room Tip: Studios are really small.... its definitely worth it to upgrade to a one bedroom.

we stayed here for 3 nights in July 2012. Everything was perfect: the room, the accomodation, the equipment, the swimming pool, check-in, check-out, the location... All the people were very friendly.
If I have come back to Whistler, it will be there !
