I stayed at the Fairmont in Whistler for 2 nights for business. There was nothing remarkable about the hotel. The lobby is nice and has a "lodge" type atmosphere. The rooms were average, as were the bathrooms. The fitness center was above average with 3 treadmills, 3 elliptical machines and a separate weight room. I had several catered meals there and everything was just average. The coffee maker in the room was grimy (see photo).
The location is not easy to get to as it is a good 2+ hr drive with the hotel shuttle from the Vancouver Airport.
However, the town is adorable. It is in a beautiful setting and the place is great for kids. There are lots of kids activities on Blackcombe mountain where the Fairmont is like horseback riding, putt putt golf and bungee/trampolines.More
