This is one of my absolute favourite things to do in the summer. This is a fairly short hike - Start at the Roundhouse at walk past Emerald Chair to the water catchment. The trail descends from there for about 10 minutes. There is a boardwalk around the lake so you dont damage the area too much. Views over to Blackcomb and 7th heaven.
There is lots of bugs in the summer months so pack bug spray
If you come late July and August the wildflowers are out and this area is absolutely beautiful.
You can either return the way you came or take one of the harder hikes back up around the other side of the lake. Those trails are hard blues and blacks
