The coast blackcomb at Whistler is the farthest hotel up the side of blackcomb. If you dont have a car, its really inconvenient. I dont know the shuttle schedule in the winter but during summer months it only picks up every 40 minutes and doesnt start unitl around 10am. Its about a 1/3 of a mile hike from the bottom of blackcomb (part of it steep). We walked to the village for meals/ shopping etc.. and after a few trips it turns into a hassle. Our first day I hiked the hill 4 times and I found ourselves trying to plan around the shuttle schedule - it just wasnt worth it, considering there are so many other locations closer to the village. Even with a car, I would pefer to have something closer that doesnt require driving everywhere. If your in town for a ski camp on the glacier, I wouldnt reccomend it- hiking up with a pack/ boots etc.. everyday was a pain.

We chose the Coast Suites at Whistler because they had a full en-suite kitchen and a separate bedroom, exactly what we wanted for a two night get-away after our wedding.

However, our "upgraded," room was right over-looking the pool which was constantly filled with children, and did not offer a very relaxing mood to the room.
The hotel was average for what you pay, the breakfast was okay but never seemed to be re-filed throughout the breakfast hour, the one morning we went down and there was no coffee!

The fireplace in our room didn't work, the shower made a high pitched noise whenever it was used and every time the fridge motor turned off it made a loud clunking noise!

I did like the location, further out from the city, but overall would have preferred a room somewhere quieter.

Also, the underground parking was very confusing, and some elevators only went to certain levels, which was not explained to us.

This hotel is located in a beautiful secluded area. It has a nice trail that goes behind the pools up to a peak with a great view. The pools are nicely heated and great for a morning or evening dip.

The rooms were pretty clean, no complaints but we did have a plate broken in half in our kitchen. I dont blame them for not spotting it because it was tucked away out of sight. Other than that the hotel is top notch for the value. The best part about the hotel is the complimentary breakfast which is to die for. Go early to beat the rush.

We were very happy with our accomodation, the suite was clean, well equiped and very roomy, we had a great view off the balcony overlooking the slope. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the continental breakfast which was very good, it included a good variety of breakfast food. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. It is not right in the village but it is a short shuttle to the village and easy to go back and forth.

Quite enjoyed our weekend stay at Coast Blackcomb Suites. The suite was spacious and clean. Some of the lights didn't work, and the hair dryer burned out, but on calling the front desk, it was promptly replaced. Would stay again, and recommend to friends and family.
