“Good value”

Good value for your money. Nice, spacious suite with cooking facilities, well equipped and comfortable. Not fussy for the location, although is was quite. Reasonably priced and a short drive to the town centre.

I found an excellent deal online which the reservation people matched and I'm glad I did because if I had paid full price I would have been bummed. The room we had normally goes (in Sept.) for $153+tax+parking so my guess is about $200. We've stayed at many places that were far less than that with larger rooms, AC, free parking, and better breakfasts. It was 84* the day we were in Whistler and without AC, our room was quite stuffy and warm even with the fan they provided. The breakfast was nothing special. We stayed at the Coast Fraser Inn in Williams Lake the night before and their breakfast was far better as was the room and it had a nice view. Also, when you make your reservation there will be no mention of the parking fee ($19+tax for us but more I think during ski season) until you get a confirmation email which says there's a parking fee but doesn't say how much. Speaking of parking...it's a parking garage and good luck to you if you have a large vehicle. Bring a shoehorn. We have a small SUV and it was a bit of a struggle to fit into a parking space. We slept well, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the shower was very good. But when you pay for a more upscale place, it's the little things that make a difference and the little things were lacking here.

This is a really nice hotel. Check in was quick and efficient. Parking underground is a little tight but manageable. Charge for parking is $24 per night. Room was spacious with kitchenette.

Had problem with the fan and very low water pressure in the bathroom sink. The fan problem was solved by maintenance but the pressure wasn't resolved. Stayed only one night so not that big a deal.

Room had one queen bed and a pull out sofa. Sofa was ok for one night.

Breakfast was continental breakfast which was mainly cereal and muffins. There are two waffle makers but it's a bit of a wait if the place is full which was the case when we stayed. For the price charged, there should be more variety of items offered.

There is a free bus provided by BC Transit that takes you to the village.

Just stayed a night at the Coast Blackcombe Suites in early Sept.
Room was very comfortable - Q bed with nice sheets, good amount of towels. Large-size bath products to use (or small ones to use & take) - good pressure in the shower. Kitchen was well stocked (full-sized fridge, d/w, plates/cutlery). Comfy couch that folder out. Tiny balcony - but nice to have the door open during the night (5th floor) for some air circulation. No a/c - but btw fan and door, was fine. Possibly a little warm if Whistler is having a hot spell.
Breakfast is the usual - yogurt, h/b eggs, waffles, cereals, toast juices/coffee. Lots of seating - around the fireplace area or outside on the patio.
Hot tub/pool & fitness area was nice - 1 treadmill, 1 eliptical, 2 hot tubs & a smaller pool.
Parking wasn't a problem - $19/nite during summer (more in winter). And used free transit shuttle that serves the village (30min serv in summer). Right on the mtn, but farthest away from village - to bad to stroll to, but all uphill coming back - shuttle was great. I prefer to stay a little closer to the upper or main village usually - but if you stay here, the shuttle is a great option.

Room Tip: Rooms in front face bus stop & garbage-truck pick-up - try for a mtn-side room to avoid this. So...

My wife and I chose this hotel based solely on the price, which can be dangerous in an industry where you get what you pay for. Well, after dealing with the debarkation from our cruise ship and getting our rental car in Vancouver, we made the 2 hour drive to Whistler to see the site of the 2010 Winter Olympics. When we arrived, we couldn't have been happier with the accomodations and the friendly staff. The hotel has an lodge feel to it with complimentary water and coffee at all times. After our quicker-than-expected check-in, we found ourselves walking into our room which was much larger than we anticipated. Instantly we felt right at home! The WiFi was free and reliable (strong signal) and my wife was a huge fan of the brand of bathroom products - a chick thing. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was high, and there isn't a single thing that I would have changed during our stay. Oh yeah, the breakfast was as expected, up to and including the belgium waffle maker.

Room Tip: Request a mountain-view room, the view is beautiful.

We had such a great stay at the coast Blackcomb suites. My reservation process through the call center was not a pleasant experience but once we arrived at the hotel all was forgotten. For the price we payed per night (which was under $100) our expectations where far surpassed. The front desk staff was friendly and informative, our room was very comfortable with a full kitchen and great view, the outdoor pool and two hot tubs we used daily. The only critism we had was that our fireplace did not work, the pool did not open until 10 ( when your child is up at 7:30 it is a long wait until 10 to go swimming). We appreciated the free bus service from the hotel to the village and used it regularily. We had such a wonderful time in whistler and the coast Blackcomb suites that we chose to extend our stay. We will be back!

This was my second stay at Coast Blackomb Suites at Whistler and they have remained consistent. I've stayed at other hotels either in or closer to the village and have just been mediocre for the value. This hotel is very quiet, family friendly with decent sized rooms. They also provide a very good complimentary breakfast (Waffles, cereal, fruit, toast bagels, muffins, etc). If you have young children, it's not really within walking distance to the village, however, they have a free shuttle that runs very well on schedule. The pool/hot tubs on both stays, has been very busy. Check-in and out was very quick and smooth. The wi-fi access was extremely slow to non-existent. I will stay definitely come stay here again.

Room Tip: If you stay on one of the top floors, the elevator can be a wait - especially during breakfast time.
