The Crystal Lodge is in a great location just a couple of minutes walk from the gondola, and right in the centre of the village. Nothing is very far away. The staff were friendly, and west out of their way to help. Room was excellent -- large enough, comforatble, and well maintained. We will certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the Village Stroll may be noisy -- rooms at the back are very quiet.

The Crystal Lodge was a perfect choice for our weekend trip to Whistler. We were able to walk everywhere and the Gondola was within a 2 minute walk from the lobby. The front desk staff were very friendly and even called to welcome us to our room after check-in. The room was clean and the Ipod dock was an added bonus. We would reccomend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms are close to everything

From the moment we checked in the staff made us feel very welcome. After travelling for a day and a half it was great to be welcomed by Scott and Matthew on the front desk. They immediately made all the travelling worth while, and were very helpful with ski advice.
You really cannot beat this hotel for location in the village and proximity to the lifts. Being so close to everything I expected a fair amount of noise at night, but was pleasently surprised by how quiet it was. We were on the 2nd floor where the sauna is located, which was a concern at first (due to possible noise), however there was no traffic noise from patrons using the facility. We had a loft suite, and found this very comfortable. Loved having a tv upstairs to unwind to after a long day, and the bath in the main bathroom was a blessing after a hard day skiing.
Everything about this hotel was perfect, and I would highly recommend. Having such a great location you wouldn't blame them for relying on this alone, however they also have great staff.

Room Tip: Would always recommend a separate bedroom, and the loft suite provides this.

The Crystal Lodge has great rooms, which are clean and comfortable. We stayed in the one bedroom suite, and this has all the amenities that we needed. The free wifi was great also.
The service is great, very warm and welcoming, and as they are locals, they know the best places to ski on the mountain and to eat out.
Fantastic location which means you can suit up in your room, walk outside, and you are basically at the lifts.
Has a number of services that make the stay that much more enjoyable and conveneint, including: ski vallet, hot pool, on-site restaurants, etc.

Good: We took the loft suite in November, when it was off-season. The location was perfect, it was clean and cozy.

Loved a lot our bed, the TV, the salon and 2 washrooms. We also liked the service in ski/snowboard room - the guy was very helpful and attentive to all our questions and requests.
Did not use the pool and hot-tub since it was very cold, but many other true Canadians enjoyed it a lot and we saw happy couples in bathrobes going up and down in the elevators.

Not so good:

- would recommend another restaurant instead of Old Spaghetti Factory that is located inside the hotel. The hostess was a bit arrogant and the service was extremely - (in an unnatural and pushy way) helpful after we were noticed filling in the feedback form.
- we had a very strange guy at our door when we went out in the evening, he was actually standing next to our door as if intended to knock on it. When I opened a door and unexpectedly saw him, he apologized and told that he made a mistake and went to the wrong room. Well...I didn't feel the same, the situation was really awkward. We did not report to the hotel since we never saw him again. Just keep your valuable belongings with you (not only for this particular hotel).
- the bath tub was not as clean as it was supposed to be (hair, and...you can easily see if it has been cleaned up before your arrival). That's why 4 out of 5.

All in all, still recommend the hotel for all type of travel company/individual.
